Abstract
In the increasingly advanced world of manufacturing industry, of course the producers need to innovate to compete more strictly. In this case, the role of the company's product quality will be greater so that the quality of the product cannot be ignored. Products produced by PT. ABC is a Shaft Gear Ring, from the field observations, there is a defect in the Shaft Gear Ring that is not in accordance with the requirements that have an impact on costs, quality, company performance, and customer satisfaction. Based on the collection and analysis of the data obtained results there are five types of rejects found in Shaft gear ring products namely Blowhole, Stratch, Dent, oval, and Size Out. with 22.22% disability percentage, Stratch with a 32% defect percentage, Dent with a defect percentage of 13.49%, an oval with a defective percentage of 4.37% and Out Size of 27.78%. From the above problems an analysis is done using FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) to identify possible failures in the process and function of the product so that the causes and consequences are known to improve product quality and reliability. From the calculation and analysis of FMEA, the highest yield of RPN is Out size, where the main cause of the defect is the difference in hardness from raw material and Insert decreases the strength of hardness. Improved quality. find out how hard the material produced is in accordance with workpiece standards. Keywords: FMEA, Occurence, Severity, Detection, Quality Control, Shaft Gear Ring Didalam dunia industri manufaktur yang semakin maju tentunya para produsen perlu melakukan inovasi untuk bersaing lebih ketat, Dalam hal ini, peranan kualitas produk perusahaan akan semakin besar sehingga kualitas produk tidak dapat diabaikan. Produk yang dihasilkan oleh PT. ABC adalah Shaft Gear Ring, dari pengamatan di lapangan didapatkan Cacat pada Shaft Gear Ring yang tidak sesuai dengan persyaratan yang berdampak pada biaya, kualitas, performance perusahaan, dan kepuasan konsumen. Berdasarkan pengumpulan dan analisis data didapatkan hasil ada lima jenis reject yang terdapat pada produk Shaft gear Ring yaitu Blowhole, Stratch, Dent, oval, dan Ukuran Out. dengan perrsentasi cacat 22,22 %, Stratch dengan persentasi cacat 32%, Dent dengan persentasi cacat 13,49%, oval dengan persentasi cacat 4,37% dan Ukuran Out sebesar 27,78%. Dari permasalahan diatas dilakukan analisa menggunakan FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) untuk mengidentifikasi kemungkinan kegagalan pada proses dan fungsi produk sehingga diketahui penyebab dan akibatnya untuk meningkatkan mutu dan reliabilitas produk. Dari perhitungan dan analisis FMEA maka dihasilkan hasil nilai RPN tertinggi adalah ukuran Out dimana penyebab utama dari cacat tersebut adalah adalah Perbedaan kekerasan dari raw material dan Insert mengalami penurunan kekuatan kekerasan Perbaikan kualitas yang dilakukan Pada hasil RPN tertinggi adalah melakukan pengecekan sample pada tiap penerimaan material agar mengetahui berapa kekerasan material yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan standar benda kerja.
