Abstract

The development of tourism in Indonesia is now increasing rapidly. The tourism sector promises and benefits many parties from the government, the public and the private sector. Therefore, many regions want to hold development in the field of tourism. One of them is in Ciletuh Geopark, West Java. Tourist destinations in Ciletuh Geopark do show special natural charm. But this potential is not supported by rest areas in the form of residences, places to stay and restaurants as adequate supporters. This is behind the planning of the Hotel and Villa project designed with a unique design on an area of 8,920 m2. Neo Vernacular is a theme taken on this design with an approach to tropical climate aspects and energy-efficient buildings that support efforts to use energy efficiently and maximize the potential utilization of light and air systems. Neo Vernacular architecture that is still strongly tied to tradition and locality is one of the alternatives that is considered to be able to maintain the presence of Traditional Architecture of West Java while keeping up with the times. Keywords: Tourist destinations, Hotels and Villas, Neo vernacular Perkembangan pariwisata di Indonesia sekarang ini semakin pesat. Sektor pariwisata menjanjikan dan memberikan manfaat kepada banyak pihak dari pemerintah, masyarakat maupun swasta. Oleh karena itu banyak daerah yang berkeinginan untuk mengadakan pembangunan di bidang pariwisata. Salah satunya di Geopark Ciletuh, Jawa Barat. Destinasi wisata di Geopark Ciletuh memang menunjukkan pesona alam yang istimewa. Namun potensi ini tidak didukung oleh tempat istirahat berupa tempat tinggal, tempat menginap serta rumah makan sebagai pendukung yang memadai. Hal inilah yang melatar belakangi perencanaan proyek Hotel dan Villa yang dirancang dengan keunikan desain di tanah seluas berkisar 8.920 m2.Neo Vernakular adalah tema yang diambil pada perancangan ini dengan pendekatan aspek iklim tropis dan bangunan hemat energi yang mendukung upaya penggunaan energi yang efisien dan pemanfaatan maksimal potensi tata cahaya dan udara. Arsitektur Neo Vernakular yang masih terikat kuat dengan tradisi dan lokalitas menjadi salah satu alternatif yang dianggap bisa tetap menjaga kehadiran Arsitektur Tradisional Jawa Barat sekaligus mengikuti perkembangan jamannya.
