Abstract

Seeing the rapid development of modern technology, the use of LPG as an alternative material to replace fuel is felt more effective and practical. The LPG gas detector system can be one solution to find out earlier about the occurrence of LPG gas leaks. In this system module NodeMCU ESP8266 is used as the control unit for the relay module as the output and sensor MQ-5 as input. The relay module functions as a fan switch to neutralize the gas concentration in the air. To find out the presence of flammable gases, the MQ-5 sensor is used which can detect the presence of several types of gases including LPG used in households. The system successfully detects LPG gas and displays its concentration levels in the range of 200 to 1000 ppm. When the gas concentration level exceeds 1000 ppm, the buzzer and exhaust fan will activate automatically and give a danger status. Sending data to a smartphone can be done in 1 second interval. Keywords: NodeMCU ESP8266, Relay, MQ-5 Sensor, Exhaust Fan, Buzzer, LPG Melihat dari berkembangnya teknologi modern yang begitu pesat, penggunaan LPG sebagai bahan alternatif pengganti bahan bakar minyak dirasakan lebih efektif dan praktis. Sistem detektor gas LPG dapat menjadi salah satu solusi untuk mengetahui lebih dini terjadinya kebocoran gas LPG. Pada modul sistem ini NodeMCU ESP8266 digunakan sebagai unit pengendali untuk modul relay sebagai keluaran dan sensor MQ-5 sebagai masukan. Modul relay berfungsi sebagai saklar sebuah kipas untuk penetralisir konsentrasi gas di udara. Untuk mengetahui keberadaan gas yang sifatnya mudah terbakar digunakan sensor MQ-5 yang dapat mendeteksi keberadaan beberapa jenis gas termasuk LPG yang digunakan dalam rumah tangga. Sistem berhasil mendeteksi gas LPG dan menampilkan kadar konsentrasinya dalam rentang 200 sampai 1000 ppm. Ketika kadar konsentrasi gas melibihi 1000 ppm, buzzer dan exhaust fan akan aktif secara otomatis dan memberikan status bahaya. Pengiriman data ke smartphone dapat dilakukan dalam interval waktu 1 detik. Kata kunci : NodeMCU ESP8266, Relay, Sensor MQ-5, Exhaust Fan, Buzzer, LPG
