Abstract

Indonesia has a beautiful and attractive nature. Many local and international tourists to visit and enjoy the natural atmosphere. So that accommodation is needed to support tourist activities, such as hotels, villas, restaurants, shopping places and so on. The Kaliurang area is one of the areas that has been seen as a tourist destination since the Dutch colonial era. Many companies and agencies set up guesthouses in Kaliurang. Initially, these guest houses were only used for the benefit of companies or agencies. But then rented out to the wider community. After getting more crowded and growing, Kaliurang was finally equipped with various tourist facilities. This potential is what lies behind the management of hotel or property companies to develop the property business by building resorts in the form of villas and hotel rooms and restaurants as a complement. With a design that has a unique design, such as the concept of Vernacular Architecture which is designed contextually based on the situation in the building, based on the materials available at the construction site and still reflecting local wisdom. So that it can introduce regional designs as appropriate as local tourists and international tourists. Keywords: Villa, Hotel, Restaurant, Vernacular Architecture, Sustainable Architecture. Indonesia memiliki alam yang indah dan menarik. Banyak wisatawan lokal maupn internasional untuk berkunjung dan menikmati suasana alam. Sehingga dibutuhkan akomodsi-akomodasi yang menunjang kegiatan wisatawan, seperti hotel, villa, rumah makan, tempat berbelanja dan lain sebagainya. Kawasan Kaliurang merupakan salah satu wilayah yang sudah dipandang sebagai tujuan wisata sejak zaman penjajahan Belanda. Banyak perusahaan dan instansi mendirikan wisma di Kaliurang. Pada awalnya, wisma-wisma tersebut hanya digunakan untuk kepentingan perusahaan atau instansi. Namun kemudian disewakan untuk masyarakat luas. Setelah semakin ramai dan berkembang, Kaliurang pun akhirnya dilengkapi berbagai fasilitas wisata. Potensi inilah yang melatarbelakangi peengelola perusahaan hotel ataupun property untuk mengembangkan bisnis property dengan membangun tempat peristirahatan berbentuk villa dan kamar hotel serta rumah makan sebagai pelengkap. Dengan rancangan yang mempunyai keunikan desain, seperti konsep Arsitektur Vernakular yang dirancang kontekstual berdasarkan situasi di tempat berdirinya bangunan, berdasarkan material yang tersedia di lokasi pembangunan dan tetap mencerminkan kearifan lokal. Sehingga dapat memperkenalkan desain-desain khas daerah setepat kepada wisatawan lokal dan wisatawan internasional.
