Abstract
This study explains the use of Leadtime Improvement by using the Single Minutes Exchange Of Dies (SMED) method in semi-solid production lines at PT. GP which is engaged in the pharmaceutical industry. This company has a bottleneck in the form of high process lead times resulting in the use of inefficient working time. This is weighted by changes in the primary packaging process, namely the diversification of primary packaging that requires a fast change over process. So this research is done with the aim to overcome problems in reducing process lead times and change over time in an easy and fast way and without changing many processes. The research phase begins by analyzing the process flow which is then followed by identifying the causes of obstacles in the semi-solid production line. Make changes to the flow map with the SMED concept with the addition of the hopp method to calculate the process flow. Then for the reduction of set up and change over time, the method used is the Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) method. The decrease in leadtime and rearrangement of process flow in the semi-solid production line that was achieved was 9 days (40.91%) while the reduction in flowtime in the process flow was 15 hours (6.59%). The reduction in setup time in this study was 19 minutes (31.15%) and a reduction in the change over time by 17 minutes (43.59%). Key Words: lead time improvement, setup, change over, pharmacy, smed Penelitian ini menjelaskan penggunaan Leadtime Improvement dengan menggunakan metoda Single Minutes Exchange Of Dies (SMED) pada lini produksi semi solid di PT.GP yang bergerak dalam bidang industri farmasi. Perusahaan ini mempunyai hambatan berupa tingginya lead time proses sehingga menimbulkan banyaknya penggunaan waktu kerja yang tidak efisien. Hal ini bertambah berat dengan adanya perubahan pada proses pengemasan primer yaitu diversifikasi kemasan primer yang membutuhkan proses change over yang cepat. Sehingga penelitian ini di lakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan dalam mengurangi lead time proses dan waktu change over dengan cara yang mudah dan cepat dan tanpa merubah banyak proses. Tahap penelitian diawali dengan melakukan analisis alur proses yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mengidentifikasi penyebab hambatan pada lini produksi semi solid. Melakukan perubahan peta aliran dengan konsep SMED dengan penambahan metoda hopp untuk menghitung flow proses. Kemudian untuk pengurangan waktu set up dan change over digunakan metode dalam lean manufacturing yaitu metode SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies). Penurunan leadtime dan penataan ulang peta aliran proses di lini produksi semi solid yang berhasil dicapai adalah 9 hari (40,91%) sedangkan pengurangan flowtime pada alur proses adalah sebanyak 15 jam (6,59 %) .
