Abstract
PT. GMF AeroAsia Tbk, is an aircraft repair and maintenance company, at the beginning of semester 2019 the base maintenance department found significant damage of 38 ea on the cargo sidewall components during the process of cargo compartment restoration, on the basis that the writer tried to find the causes and gave suggestions for improvement using DMAIC method approach. After being analyzed using a fishbone diagram, the factors causing damage are due to lack of skill and knowledge, lack of tools, poor material quality, wrong methods, and poor lighting. After being analyzed by FMEA, lack of skills and knowlage became the dominant cause with the largest RPN value of 175. The proposed improvements given based on 5W+1H analysis were to schedule training and conduct mentoring programs in the field, the aim being to increase skills and knowlage transfer. GMF AeroAasia Tbk merupakan perusahaan perbaikan dan perawatam pesawat terbang, pada awal semester tahun 2019 departement base maintenancemenemukan kerusakan yang signifikan sebanyak 38 ea pada komponen cargo side wall pada saat proses restorasi cargo compartment, atas dasar itu penulis mencoba mencari faktor penyebab dan memberikan usulan perbaikan menggunakan pendekatan metode DMAIC. Setelah dianalisis menggunakan fishbone diagram faktor penyebab kerusakan dikarenakan kurangnya skill dan knowlage, kurangnya tools, kualitas material yang buruk, methode yang salah, serta pencahayaan yang kurang. Setelah dianalisis dengan FMEA kurangnya skill dan knowlage menjadi penyebab dominan dengan nilai RPN terbesar yaitu 175. Usulan perbaikan yang diberikan berdasarkan analisis 5W+1H adalah melakukan penjadwalan training serta dilakukan program mentoring di lapangan, tujuannya untuk menambah skill dan transfer knowlage.
