Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Analysis of Business Process Improvement on the Import Process at PT. Adaro Indonesia. The Procurement and Logistics Division which oversees Department of Procurement Operation as well as other divisions as part of Adaro is required to follow directions from Management to reduce operational costs. In improving business processes in an organization, a method is needed that can help. One method that can be used is the method of Business Process Improvement (BPI). The method used in this study is a phenomenological Descriptive that describes the views and opinions of informants based on the situation around them. The results of this study indicate that (1) The selection of business processes to be improved is the Payment Approval for import duties (Approval for import duty payment), and (2) From the simulation results a comparison of the initial business process and business process recommendations shows a decrease of 50 % of port fees and a 50% reduction in the average days needed for payment of import duties. Keywords : Business Process Improvement, Division of Procurement and Logistics, Operations Management Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Analisis Business Process Improvement terhadap Proses Impor di PT. Adaro Indonesia. Divisi Procurement and Logistics yang membawahi departement Procurement Operation sama halnya dengan divisi lainnya selaku bagian dari Adaro wajib mengikuti arahan dari Manajemen untuk menekan biaya operasional. Dalam melakukan perbaikan proses bisnis pada sebuah organisasi maka diperlukan sebuah metode yang dapat membantu. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan merupakan metode Business Process Improvement (BPI). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Descriptif fenomenologi yang menggambarkan cara pandang dan pendapat informan berdasarkan situasi yang ada disekitar. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pemilihan proses bisnis yang akan diperbaiki yaitu Persetujuan Pembayaran bea masuk impor (Approval for import duty payment), dan (2) Dari hasil simulasi yang dilakukan perbandingan pada proses bisnis awal dan proses bisnis rekomendasi menunjukkan penurunan 50% biaya pelabuhan dan penurunan 50% rata-rata hari yang dibutuhkan untuk pembayaran bea masuk impor.
