Abstract

Disabilities people or difable which using wheel chair, blind, mute, or even deaf must be used any public facilities such as braile on the lift, train station, guiding block for blind people, using symbols, sign board, to communicate the informations for mute or deaf people in a public place. West Jakarta Mayor Office is one of any Government institution which has complete applying accessibilities in every building there. The West Jakarta Mayor make serious efforts implementing build accebilities and become as friendly as other cities with disabilities people. But because of the minimum of information about it, often violations committed by non disabled citizens against disabled people using accessibility. In brief, because of that problem try to implemented and communicated back through the role of Public Relations. Theories that are used in this research are Public Relations includes The Role of Public Relations, The Function of Public Relations, Media Public Relations, Government Public Relations, Stakeholder Relations and also intergrated with The Accessibility Concept. This Research results are obtain about West Jakarta Mayor Public Relations carry out Government activities in communicating with other units internally and externally, and also accessibility already reach number of 70-80%. Keyword : Public Relations, The Role of Public Relations, The Function of Public Relations, Media Public Relations, Building Accessibility Penyandang disabilitas atau penderita cacat baik yang menggunakan kursi roda, tuna netra, tuna wicara, ataupun tuna rungu harus bisa menggunakan semua fasilitas umum, seperti tulisan braile untuk menjelaskan fasilitas umum di lift, stasiun, trotoar bagi pejalan kaki tuna netra dengan menggunakan ubin bentuk tertentu yang dapat di rasakan saat diinjak. Penggunaan simbol, rambu/marka beserta tulisan untuk memperjelas informasi serta penggunaan bahasa isyarat atau kemampuan tulis menulis untuk berkomunikasi dengan tuna rungu (tuli) dan tuna wicara di tempat-tempat umum. Kantor Walikota Jakarta Barat merupakan lembaga kepemerintahan yang memiliki kelengkapan aksesibilitas pada gedung-gedungnya. Pemerintah Kota (pemkot) berupaya mengimplementasikan pembangunan aksesibilitas demi menjadikan Kota Jakarta Barat sebagai kota yang ramah akan disabilitas, namun kurangnya informasi terkait aksesibilitas sering kali terdapat pelanggaran penggunaan aksesibilitas yang dilakukan oleh warga non disabilitas. Sehingga hal tersebut diterapkan dan dikomunikasikan kembali melalui peran Public Relations. Teori yang digunakan ialah Public Relations yang mencakup Peran, Fungsi, Media, Government, dan Stakeholder serta dipadukan dengan Konsep Aksesibilitas. Penelitian ini menghasilkan informasi bahwa Public Relations Walikota Jakarta Barat melaksanakan aktivitas kepemerintahannya dalam mengkomunikasikan aksesibilitas gedung bersinergi dengan unit-unit lainnya secara internal maupun eksternal, penerapan aksesibilitas telah mencapai angka 70-80%. Kata kunci : Public Relations, Peran Public Relations, Fungsi Public Relations, Media Public Relations, Aksesibilitas Gedung.
