Abstract

Physiotherapy is one of the community's efforts to cure the occurrence of physical health problems or problems. To meet these needs, the presence of NK Health Physiotherapy Clinic can help the community to restore their health through physiotherapy. One type of communication that can be applied by nurses with their patients is therapeutic communication, because through this communication can help the patient's recovery. The theory used in this research is the theory of uncertainty reduction and selfdisclosure theory. According to the theory of reducing uncertainty, therapeutic communication can reduce patient stress, open clear channels of communication, reduce the anxiety level of the patient's family, increase the family's confidence in clinical treatment, determine the image of institutional communication, and provide a sense of security and comfort to patients. Whereas according to self-disclosure theory, therapeutic communication makes it possible to develop an understanding of oneself, develop a more positive attitude about oneself and others, and makes it possible to develop more meaningful relationships with others. In this research, the paradigm used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data sources consist of primary and secondary data through field observation techniques, interviews, documentation and literature studies that are analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study concluded, first, therapeutic communication competence is needed because it relates to the ability to listen, receive, ask, repeat the client's words, clarification, focus, appreciation, perception, reflection, and humor that can facilitate establishing a trusting relationship with patients. Second, the therapeutic communication process consists of a pre-interaction phase, an orientation / introduction phase, a work phase and a termination phase, each of which is applied sequentially according to the therapist's process. Third, therapeutic communication is useful as a means of education, which causes the patient's knowledge to increase. Fourth, the inhibiting factors in the therapeutic communication process consist of internal and external obstacles. The solution that can be taken is to be more patient and listen a lot to keep the patient's view of the nurse positive. Keywords: Physiotherapy, therapeutic communication, nurses, patients. Fisioterapi merupakan salahsatu upaya masyarakat untuk melakukan penyembuhan atas terjadinya gangguan atau masalah kesehatan pada fisik. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut, keberadaan NK Health Klinik Fisioterapi dapat membantu masyarakat untuk memulihkan kesehatannya melalui fisioterapi. Salah satu jenis komunikasi yang dapat diterapkan oleh perawat dengan pasiennya adalah komunikasi terapeutik, karena melalui komunikasi ini dapat membantu terhadap kesembuhan pasiennya. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori pengurangan ketidakpastian dan teori self disclosure. Menurut teori pengurangan ketidakpastian, komunikasi terapeutik dapat mengurangi stess pasien, membuka saluran komunikasi yang jelas, mengurangi tingkat kecemasan keluarga pasien, meningkatkan kepercayaan pihak keluarga terhadap perlakuan klinik, komunikasi menentukan citra institusi, dan memberikan rasa aman dan nyaman kepada pasien. Sedangkan menurut teori self disclosure, komunikasi terapeutik memungkinkan untuk mengembangkan pemahaman tentang diri sendiri, mengembangkan sikap yang lebih positif tentang diri sendiri dan orang lain, dan memungkinkan untuk mengembangkan hubungan yang lebih bermakna dengan orang lain. Dalam penelitian ini, paradigma yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data terdiri dari data primer dan sekunder melalui teknik observasi lapangan, wawancara, dokumentansi dan studi kepustakaan yang dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan, pertama, kompetensi komunikasi terapeutik diperlukan karena berkaitan dengan kemampuan mendengarkan, menerima, bertanya, mengulang ucapan klien, klarifikasi, fokus, penghargaan, persepsi, refleksi, dan humor yang dapat memudahkan menjalin hubungan saling percaya dengan pasiennya. Kedua, proses komunikasi terapeutik terdiri dari fase prainteraksi, fase orientasi/perkenalan, fase kerja dan fase terminasi, masing-masing diterapkan secara berurutan sesuai dengan proses terapis yang dilakukan. Ketiga, komunikasi terapeutik bermanfaat sebagai sarana edukasi, yang menyebabkan pengetahuan pasien meningkat. Keempat, faktor penghambat dalam proses komunikasi terapeutik terdiri dari hambatan internal dan eksternal. Solusi yang dapat ditempuh adalah dengan bersikap lebih sabar dan banyak mendengar untuk menjaga pandangan pasien terhadap perawat tetap positif.
