Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Social Skills and Employability Skills in psychology students at the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. HAMKA Jakarta. The research method used is a quantitative method, with a total of 167 UHAMKA final year psychology students using incidental sampling. Social Skills are measured using the Social Skills scale (Wu, Y., 2008) which consists of 30 items and for Employability Skills measured using the Employability Skills competency scale, SCANS SKILLS ASSESSMENT (Roberts, Lynn, & et al., 2000) which consists of 24 items. The data analysis technique used is the Spearmen correlation test using SPSS 23.0. From the results of data analysis, it shows that there is a relationship between Social Skills and Employability Skills in psychology students at the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. HAMKA Jakarta, with a correlation coefficient of 0.383 and a significant value of 0.000 <0.05. Strengthened by the results of correlation per dimension shows that all dimensions of Social Skills are related to the Employability Skills variable. But it is interesting, that the Personal Quality dimension is not related to Social Skills. Keywords: Social Skills, Employability Skills Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Social Skills dengan Employability Skills pada mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. HAMKA Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, dengan total responden 167 mahasiswa psikologi tingkat akhir UHAMKA dengan menggunakan insidental sampling. Social Skills diukur dengan menggunakan skala Social Skills (Wu, Y., 2008) yang terdiri dari 30 item dan untuk Employability Skills diukur menggunakan skala kompetensi Employability Skills, SCANS SKILLS ASSESSMENT (Roberts, Lynn, & dkk, 2000) yang terdiri dari 24 item. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi Spearmen dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS 23.0. Dari hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara Social Skills dengan Employability Skills pada mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. HAMKA Jakarta, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,383 dan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0,05. Diperkuat dengan hasil korelasi per dimensi menunjukkan bahwa semua dimensi Social Skills berhubungan dengan variabel Employability Skills. Namun menarik, bahwa dimensi Kualitas Personal tidak berhubungan dengan Social Skills. Kata Kunci: Social Skills, Employability Skills
