Abstract
This study aims to devise the determinants of capital structure in listed companies on the IDX KOMPAS100. By using the purposive sampling method, 46 companies were selected as samples within 2016-2018 period. The data was tested by using panel data regression method with eviews as a testing tool. Six independent variables were tested, that is liquidity, profitability, tangibility, growth, firm size and business risk. The results showed that the six variables which can affect capital structure simultaneously. Whereas on other partial test results, variable such as profitability, liquidity, asset structure, firm size & business risk can determine the capital structure significantly. Meanwhile the other variable, which is company growth, did not significantly contribute impacts for company's capital structure in the IDX KOMPAS100. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu faktor-faktor penentu struktur modal pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di Indeks Saham KOMPAS100. Menggunakan metode purposive sampling, terpilih 46 perusahaan yang digunakan sebagai sampel dengan periode 2016-2018. Data tersebut diuji menggunakan metode regresi data panel dengan eviews sebagai alat bantu pengujian. Terdapat 6 variabel independen yang diuji yaitu likuiditas, profitabilitas, struktur aktiva, pertumbuhan perusahaan, ukuran perusahaan dan risiko bisnis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keenam variabel tersebut secara simultan memengaruhi struktur modal. Sedangkan hasil uji parsial, variabel likuiditas, profitabilitas, struktur aktiva, ukuran perusahaan dan risiko bisnis secara signifikan dapat menentukan struktur modal. Sementara 1 variabel lainnya yaitu pertumbuhan perusahaan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal perusahaan di indeks saham KOMPAS100.
