Abstract
The purpose of this study is to study and explain the role of competence and transformational leadership styles on the performance of 01 and 02 North Petukangan elementary school teachers, mediated by motivational variables. The research method uses quantitative and part of this research is 01 and 02 North Petukangan elementary school teachers who gathered 52 people. The sample selection is done by saturated sampling techniques or census sampling so as to make all members of the study as research samples. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaire instruments. Survey instruments were sent to 01 and 02 North Petukangan elementary school teachers. Data were analyzed using a structural consolidation model (SEM) with the Smart PLS software program version 3.2.8. This study revealed significant competence that were significant to teacher performance and transformational leadership style had a significant positive effect on teacher performance. Competence and transformational leadership styles simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. In addition, motivation variables do not mediate competence and transformational leadership styles on teacher performance. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan peranan kompetensi dan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja guru SDN 01 dan 02 Petukangan Utara dengan dimediasi oleh variabel motivasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru SDN 01 dan 02 Petukangan Utara yang berjumlah 52 orang. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampling jenuh atau sampling sensus sehingga menjadikan semua anggota populasi sebagai sampel penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan instrumen kuesioner. Instrumen survei kuesioner disampaikan secara acak kepada guru SDN 01 dan 02 Petukangan Utara. Data dianalisis menggunakan model persamaan struktural (SEM) dengan program software Smart PLS versi 3.2.8. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa kompetensi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja guru dan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Kompetensi dan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Disamping itu, variabel motivasi tidak memediasi kompetensi dan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja guru.
