Abstract

BNN (Badan Narkotika Nasional) as an agency that handles narcotics issues based on Presidential Instruction. In carrying out its socialization, the National Narcotics Agency collaborated with various parties to achieve the BNN's vision and mission in realizing Indonesia free of drugs. One of the functions of the BNN Public Relations is to manage and deliver news or information through mass media in order to form positive public opinion with media relations activities in order to achieve publicity values in support socialization of the emergency of narcotics The purpose of this study was to find out the Public Relations activities of BNN in conducting media relations to achieve media publicity as a supporter of the Indonesian Narcotics emergency socialization. The concept refers to the Aceng Abdullah theory in the form of conventional media relations activities. This type of research is descriptive, with a qualitative approach because it only discusses expressing a problem, situation, or event as it is only expressing a fact and objectively describing the true state of the object under study. The research method that the researcher uses is a case study by conducting in-depth interviews (Indepth Interview) as the primary data collection technique. As a secondary data collection technique, researchers conducted a library study and data search. The results of the interviews conducted based on primary data and secondary data can be concluded that with the media relations activities of the National Narcotics Agency BNN can reach publications in order to achieve the emergency narcotics information on Indonesia. Media relation activity is very important where the existence of media is considered very important in helping socialization. Active strategic media as providers and deliverers of information, this is certainly evident from the communication activities carried out by the BNN Public Relations by holding meetings with journalists both print and electronic media, making press conferences, press tours, press gatherings, interviews, press releases, media mapping , media research and media visits. Key Words : Public Relation, Media Relation Activity, Publicity, Socialization. BNN (Badan Narkotika Nasional) sebagai instansi yang menangani permasalahan narkotika berdasarkan Instruksi Presiden. Dalam melakukan sosialisasinya BNN bekerja sama dengan berbagai pihak demi tercapainya visi dan misi BNN dalam mewujudkan Indonesia bebas narkoba dalam kondisi Indonesia darurat narkoba. Salah satu fungsi Humas BNN adalah bertugas mengelola dan menyampaikan pemberitaan atau informasi melalui media massa dalam rangka pembentukan opini masyarakat yang positif dengan aktivas media relation demi mencapai nilai publisitas mendukung sosialisasi Indonesia darurat narkoba. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas Humas BNN dalam menjalankan media relation untuk mencapai publisitas media sebagai pendukung sosialisasi Indonesia darurat Narkoba. Konsep mengacu pada teori Aceng Abdullah bentuk kegiatan media relations konvensional. Tipe penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, dengan pendekatan kualitatif karena hanya membahas mengungkapkan suatu masalah, keadaan, atau suatu peristiwa sebagaimana adanya bersifat hanya mengungkapkan suatu fakta serta gambaran secara objektif mengenai keadaan sebenarnya dari objek yang diteliti. Metode penelitian yang peneliti gunakan adalah studi kasus dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam (Indepth Interview) sebagai teknik pengumpulan data primer. Sebagai teknik pengumpulan data sekunder, peneliti melakukan studi kepustakaan dan penelusuran data. Hasil penelitian dari wawancara yang dilakukan berdasarkan data primer dan data sekunder dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan aktivitas media relation Humas BNN dapat mencapai publikasi demi tercapainya sosialisasi Indonesia darurat narkoba. Aktivitas media relation sangatlah penting dimana keberadaan media dianggap sangat penting dalam membantu sosialisasi. Media berstrategi aktif sebagai penyedia dan penyampai informasi, hal ini tentunya terlihat jelas dari aktivitas komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh Humas BNN dengan mengadakan pertemuan kepada wartawan baik media cetak atau elektronik, membuat press conference, press tour, press gathering, wawancara, press release, media mapping, riset media dan media visit. Kata kunci : Humas, Aktivitas Media Relation, Publisitas, Sosialisasi.
