Abstract

The research was conducted on the installation process of air cleaner for excavators in a heavy equipment manufacturing company located in Cibitung area. The process of installing this component is unreachable by the crane. Therefore, the operator must lift, hold and install the component around 8kg weight using manual limbs without any tools. Due to this poor condition, the application of ergonomic methods, especially in the analysis of postural assessment is able to determine the operator's work risks, these methods are used to determine the level of risk in the process in this company. The purpose of this study is assessing the risk of danger. In addition to provide suggestions for improvement to this company then reduce the risk of operator injury, especially musculoskeletal injuries. The analysis using Nordic Body Map to identify complaints suffered by the operator, then REBA used for determining the level of occupational risk, and the last is heart rate measurement that produces an energy expenditure calculated to ensure the operator's workload. Based on the results of the Nordic Body Map, there are complaints from operators in the air cleaner work station. REBA scores obtained are 11 and 9 with very high and high levels of risk for musculoskeletal so that immediate improvement must be done. Energy expenditure and heart rate analysis also shows the same thing that the work risk suffered by the operator at this work station is quite heavy. The proposal to facilitate operator working area is making a jig to assist the installation process. After improvement using jig fixture the REBA score drops to 3 or decrease by around 67% from the initial risks. Keywords: Work posture, Nordic body map, REBA, heart rate, energy consumption. Penelitian dilakukan pada proses pemasangan air cleaner untuk excavator pada suatu perusahaan pembuat alat berat berlokasi di daerah Cibitung. Proses pemasangan komponen ini diluar jangkauan crane. Oleh sebab itu operator harus mengangkat, menahan dan memasang sendiri komponen seberat 8 kg tersebut menggunakan anggota gerak tubuh secara manual tanpa alat bantu apapun. Melihat bahwa penerapan metode-metode ergonomi terutama dalam analisis postur kerja mampu mengetahui risiko kerja operator maka metode-metode tersebut digunakan untuk memastikan level risiko pada proses tersebut di perusahaan ini. Tujuan penelitian ini selain menilai risiko bahaya adalah memberikan saran perbaikan untuk perusahaan ini guna menurunkan risiko cidera bagi operator terutama cidera muskuloskeletal. Analisis menggunakan Nordic Body Map untuk mengidentifikasi keluhan yang diderita operator, lalu menggunakan REBA untuk mengetahui level risiko pekerjaan tersebut, dan terakhir adalah pengukuran denyut jantung yang menghasilkan hitungan energy expenditure untuk memastikan beban kerja operator. Bedasarkan hasil Nordic Body Map menunjukkan adanya keluhan operator pada stasiun kerja air cleaner. Skor REBA yang didapatkan adalah 11 dan 9 dengan level risiko pada muskuloskeletal sangat tinggi dan tinggi sehingga harus dilakukan perbaikan segera. Analisis energy expenditure dan denyut jantung juga menunjukkan hal yang sama bahwa risiko kerja yang diderita operator pada stasiun kerja ini cukup berat. Usulan untuk mempermudah kerja operator adalah dengan membuat jig untuk membantu proses pemasangan. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan skor REBA turun menjadi 3 atau berkurang sekitar 67% dari resiko awal.
