Abstract

PT Bank XYZ is a company engaged in banking. In the issuing letters of credit process, it is known that the queue system uses multiphase, a queuing system consisting of servers arranged in series or consisting of several phases. PT Bank XYZ has a target time to complete the issuing letters of credit process for 15 minutes. The purpose of writing this thesis is to explain the queue model, describe the results of the analysis, and find an efficiency solution for the letter of credit issuance queue systems. The research in this thesis begins with the design of a queue system for the issuing letters of credit process. Then the data is taken in each phase in the form of many arrivals and departures every 30 minutes. The data obtained is then tested with SPSS to find out whether the data is poisson distributed or not. Followed by analyzing the performance of each phase, namely the average number of transactions in the system, the average number of transactions in the queue, the average length of transactions in the system and the average length of transactions in the queue. To meet the target time for the process of issuing letters of credit in less than 15 minutes, a queuing system optimization program is made using Microsoft Excel software. Keywords: multiphase queue, overload queue, bank queue PT Bank XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang perbankan. Pada proses penerbitan letter of credit telah diketahui bahwa sistem antriannya menggunakan multiphase yaitu sistem antrian yang terdiri dari server yang tersusun secara seri atau terdiri dari beberapa phase. PT Bank XYZ memiliki target waktu untuk penyelesaian proses penerbitan letter of credit selama 15 menit. Tujuan dari penulisan skripsi ini adalah untuk menjelaskan model antrian, mendeskripsikan hasil analisis, dan mencari solusi efisiensi sistem antrian penerbitan letter of credit. Penelitian dalam skripsi ini diawali dengan membuat desain sistem antrian proses penerbitan letter of credit. Kemudian dilakukan pengambilan data pada tiap phase berupa banyak kedatangan dan keberangkatan setiap 30 menit. Data yang didapat kemudian diuji dengan SPSS untuk mengetahui apakah data tersebut terditribusi poisson atau tidak. Dilanjutkan dengan melakukan analisis performa dari tiap phase yaitu berupa rata-rata banyaknya transaksi dalam sistem, rata-rata banyaknya transaksi dalam antrian, rata-rata lama transaksi dalam sistem dan rata-rata lama transaksi dalam antrian. Untuk memenuhi target waktu proses penerbitan letter of credit kurang dari 15 menit maka dilakukan pembuatan program optimalisasi sistem antrian menggunakan software Microsoft Excel.
