Abstract

At the end of 2016 Indonesia was stunned by the Islamic movement caused by a blasphemy case committed by Governor Basuki Tjahaya Purnama or known as Ahok. The movement of the mass movement was known as the Islamic Defense Action 411 and 212, Muslims from various regions came to Jakarta only to participate in the action directed by the ulamas, who drew action 411 and 212 followed by millions of Muslims from various regions even many say the action was attended by 7 million people in action 212. This study aims to find out how Symbolic Convergence can occur in the mass movement of Islamic Action 411 and 212 through the Fantasy Themes that appear until created Fantasy Chain until the creation of Symbolic Convergence. This research uses qualitative method with Fantasy Theme Analysis perspective. Primary data were collected by observation and interview. While secondary data obtained through literature review of books, literature and internet sites that have strong relevance to the object of research. This study focuses its study on the phenomenon of message exchange that raises awareness or fantasy theme on mass of Islamic Defense Action and build meaningful of group communication between participants of Action of Islam through social media in maintaining solidity. Based on the result of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) there are 26 topic findings which become the fantasy theme of Action of Bela Islam (2) the reality of life formed by the participants of Islamic Defense Action to achieve solidarity and the creation of masive motion is by arranging fantasy theme . (3) the theme of fantasy on the mass of Islamic Defense Action has taken place. A fantasy chain also occurs, for example when one of the participants of the Islamic Defense Action brings the attribute with the phrase "Prison Ahok The religious insult ". Keywords: Symbolic Convergence, Fantasy Theme, Islamic Action 411 and 212 Pada penghujung 2016 Indonesia dicengangkan dengan gerakan umat Islam yang disebabkan oleh kasus penistaan agama yang dilakukan oleh Gubernur Basuki Tjahaya Purnama alias Ahok. Aksi pergerakkan massa itu dikenal dengan Aksi Bela Islam 411 dan 212, umat muslim dari berbagai daerah datang ke Jakarta hanya untuk ikut serta mengikuti aksi yang di komandoi oleh para ulama tersebut, yang menarik aksi 411 dan 212 diikuti oleh jutaan umat Islam dari berbagai daerah bahkan banyak yang menyebut aksi tersebut dihadiri 7 juta orang pada aksi 212. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Konvergensi Simbolik dapat terjadi pada pergerakkan massa Aksi Bela Islam 411 dan 212 melalui Tema Fantasi yang muncul sampai tercipta Rantai Fantasi hingga terciptanya Konvergensi Simbolik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan perspektif Analisis Tema Fantasi. Data primer dikumpulkan dengan observasi dan wawancara. Sementara data sekunder didapatkan melalui kajian pustaka yaitu buku-buku, literatur serta situs-situs internet yang memiliki relevansi kuat dengan objek penelitian. Penelitian ini memfokuskan kajiannya pada fenomena pertukaran pesan yang memunculkan kesadaran atau tema fantasi pada massa Aksi Bela Islam dan membangun pemaknaan komunikasi kelompok antara peserta Aksi Bela Islam melalui media sosial dalam mempertahankan kesolidannya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: (1) terdapat 26 temuan topik yang menjadi tema fantasi Aksi Bela Islam (2) realitas kehidupan yang dibentuk oleh para peserta Aksi Bela Islam untuk mencapai kesolidan dan terciptanya pergerakkan yang masive adalah dengan merangkai tema fantasi. (3) tema fantasi pada massa Aksi Bela Islam telah terjadi. Rantai fantasi juga terjadi, contohnya dimana ketika salah seorang peserta Aksi Bela Islam membawa atribut dengan kalimat “Penjarakan Ahok sang Penista Agama”.
