Abstract

Although the practice of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is subject to much debate and criticism, many believe that it gives benefits to companies and stakeholders in multiple ways in a longer term. Various studies concluded that social activities by corporations/institutions through financial scheme program were positively correlated to its reputation in the society’s view. Bank Indonesia, as the country’s Central Bank has implemented such practice as a form of responsibility to its stakeholders. At present, Bank Indonesia’s Social Responsibility Activities are in general classified into 2 (two) schemes : (1) financial scheme and (2) non financial scheme. The former activity is linked to giving financial aid into society such as community aid to a certain targeted group of society, scholarships, village fostering program (program desa binaan), etc. Meanwhile the latter activity is a social activity that is not linked to financial matter such as Visit Program from various universities, institutions, schools or other participants to Bank Indonesia and Gerai Info where participants are allowed to have an access to information available in Bank Indonesia’s database. To the society as a whole it is deemed that the financial scheme of Bank Indonesia Social Responsibility positively affect the stakeholders’ perception of Bank Indonesia in conducting its function. On the other hand, the positive impact of Visit Program and Gerai Info for Bank indonesia is still in question as no study about its effectiveness to support stakeholders’ perception of Bank Indonesia. This present study was aimed to evaluate the impact of Visit Program and Gerai Info in building Bank Indonesia’s reputation to its stakeholders view/perspective. Convenience sampling was employed in this research. The total sample of 90 was obtained in this study. Both descrptive and statistical analysis were employed. For statistical analysis, Multiple Linear Regresion analysis was employed to see Using statistical test and analysis, it was found that both Visit Program and Gerai Info had positive impact in building Bank Indonesia’s reputation in its stakeholders view. In particular it was found that Visit Program was more significant than Gerai Info in Bank Indonesia’s social activity. However it was also found that apart from those two activities, there are other factors such as Bank Indonesia’s Social Responsibility Activites in financial scheme, that also affect stakeholders view on Bank Indonesia’s reputation. For these reasons, it is deemed important to do further study Walaupun perdebatan dan kritik mengenai pelaksanaan aktivitas sosial perusahaan (corporate social responsibility) cukup marak, namun diyakini bahwa dalam jangka panjang praktek CSR akan memberikan manfaat bagi perusahaan maupun stakeholder. Berbagai penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas sosial yang dilakukan perusahaan/instansi melalui financial scheme program dengan pemberian bantuan atau dukungan dana memberikan dampak positif bagi penilaian masyarakat atas perusahaan/instansi. Aktivitas sosial Bank Indonesia saat ini dikelompokkan menjadi dua yaitu aktivitas yang dilaksanakan dengan dukungan finansial (dana) yaitu aktivitas – aktivitas sosial yang dilakukan Bank Indonesia melalui pemberian bantuan – bantuan dana dan atau material pada masyarakat (financial scheme), seperti pemberian bantuan sosial, beasiswa kepada pelajar atau mahasiswa, program desa binaan, dan lain - lain. Sementara kelompok kedua adalah aktivitas sosial yang dilakukan tanpa adanya unsur penyaluran/pemberian dana (non financial scheme) seperti Program Kunjungan dan Gerai Info. Aktivitas sosial Bank Indonesia financial scheme diyakini mampu memberikan persepsi positif masyarakat terhadap pelaksanaan tugas Bank Indonesia.Namun di sisi lain, Program Kunjungan dan Gerai Info sebagai aktivitas sosial Bank Indonesia non financial scheme, efektivitasnya masih dipertanyakan mengingat sampai saat ini belum pernah dilakukan kajian maupun penelitian berkaitan dengan hal tersebut. Melalui penelitian Karya Akhir ini diharapkan dapat diketahui apakah Program Kunjungan dan Gerai Info sebagai Aktivitas Sosial Bank Indonesia non financial scheme dapat mempengaruhi Pembentukan Persepsi masyarakat atas peran dan tugas Bank Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini jumlah sampel yang diteliti adalah sebanyak 89 orang dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik convenience sampling yaitu penentuan sampel berdasarkan kebetulan saja. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan statistik dengan regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan data dan analisis hasil studi dengan menggunakan alat uji statistik diperoleh hasil : Program Kunjungan dan Gerai Info sebagai Aktivitas sosial Bank Indonesia non financial scheme masing - masing memiliki pengaruh terhadap Pembentukan Persepsi masyarakat atas peran dan tugas Bank Indonesia. Dari keduanya, pengaruh yang lebih besar berasal dari kegiatan Program Kunjungan. Namun demikian dari hasil penelitian ini diperoleh masukan bahwa selain kedua aktivitas tersebut, masih terdapat faktor – faktor lain yang mempengaruhi Pembentukan Persepsi masyarakat atas peran dan tugas Bank Indonesia seperti Aktivitas sosial financial scheme. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk memahami dan mengetahui faktor – faktor lain tersebut.
