Abstract
Perkembangan media digital, khususnya YouTube, menjadikan konten ulasan film sebagai salah satu sumber informasi dan hiburan. Konten ulasan film tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai referensi dalam membentuk ketertarikan dan keputusan menonton. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terpaan konten ulasan film pada akun YouTube @Ngelantur Indonesia terhadap minat menonton film di bioskop. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Uses and Gratifications yang memandang audiens sebagai pihak yang aktif dalam memilih dan menggunakan media sesuai dengan kebutuhan tertentu. Konsep terpaan media digunakan untuk mengukur intensitas audiens dalam mengakses konten ulasan film melalui indikator frekuensi, durasi, dan atensi. Sementara itu, minat menonton dianalisis melalui aspek ketertarikan (interest) dan pencarian informasi (search) yang mengacu pada model AISAS. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan paradigma positivisme dan metode survei. Populasi penelitian adalah penonton akun YouTube @Ngelantur Indonesia. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik pengambilan sampel nonprobability sampling dan terkumpul sebanyak 100 sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis inferensial yang meliputi uji korelasi, regresi linear sederhana, koefisien determinasi, dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terpaan konten ulasan film pada akun YouTube @Ngelantur Indonesia berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat menonton. Nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,853 menunjukkan hubungan yang sangat kuat antara kedua variabel, dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 72,8%. Hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai t hitung sebesar 17,060 dengan tingkat signifikansi < 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa konten ulasan film di YouTube memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan minat menonton audiens terhadap film yang ditayangkan di bioskop, khususnya melalui penyajian konten yang informatif dan menarik. The development of digital media, particularly YouTube, has positioned film review content as a significant source of information and entertainment. Film review content not only functions as entertainment but also serves as a reference in shaping viewers’ interest and decision-making regarding watching films. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims to examine the effect of exposure to film review content on the YouTube account @Ngelantur Indonesia on audiences’ interest in watching films in cinemas. This study utilizes the Uses and Gratifications theory, which views audiences as active participants in selecting and using media according to specific needs. The concept of media exposure is used to measure the intensity of audience access to film review content through indicators of frequency, duration, and attention. Meanwhile, viewing interest is analyzed through the aspects of interest and search, referring to the AISAS model. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a positivist paradigm and a survey method. The study population was viewers of the YouTube account @Ngelantur Indonesia. The study sample was drawn using a non-probability sampling technique, with 100 samples collected. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using inferential analysis, including correlation tests, simple linear regression, coefficient of determination, and t-tests. The results indicate that exposure to film review content on the YouTube account @Ngelantur Indonesia has a positive and significant effect on watching interest. The correlation coefficient value of 0.853 indicates a very strong relationship between the two variables, with a coefficient of determination of 72.8%. The t-test results show a t-value of 17.060 with a significance level of < 0.05. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that film review content on YouTube plays an important role in increasing audiences’ interest in watching films shown in cinemas, particularly through the presentation of informative and engaging content.
