Abstract

Dosen, sebagai tenaga pengajar yang berhubungan langsung dengan mahasiswa hampir setiap hari, adalah salah satu elemen kampus yang cukup vital. Karenanya, kualitas dan kinerja dosen harus selalu diperhatikan dalam kurun waktu tertentu. Salah satu cara untuk mencapai hal tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan sistem informasi kinerja dosen yang terdesain dengan baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang sebuah aplikasi sistem informasi kinerja dosen berbasis PHP-MySQL, dengan Universitas Mercu Buana sebagai studi kasusnya. Aplikasi ini dibuat untuk mempermudah proses kontrol kinerja dosen, mulai dari pemasukan data, perhitungan tingkat kinerja dosen, sampai penyajiannya, dalam sebuah sistem yang terintegrasi. Kata kunci: aplikasi web, kinerja dosen, akademik. Lecturers, who deal with students directly in almost daily basis, are one of the most vital elements of a campus. Therefore, their quality and performance need to be monitored and evaluated periodically. One of the way to achieve this is by utilizing a well-built lecturers performance assessment computer application. This research is intended to design and build said application, using PHP-MySQL platform, with Mercu Buana University’s lecturers performance data as the case study. The application will be designed to simplify the lecturers performance assessment processes, from data inputting process to statistical serving output process, into an integrated system.
