Abstract
The film Teman Tapi Menikah 2 is a romance story between lovers who have a long-standing love story since they were friends at school until they got married. And in this film, there are a lot of romantic forms carried out by the main character so that it is very interesting to study. The purpose of this study was to determine the adolescent's interpretation of the form of romance in the film Teman Tapi Menikah 2. This study uses the theory of audience meaning, namely cultural studies, reception analysis, Stuart Hall's encoding/decoding process, which later will fall into three categories, namely dominant, opposition, and negotiated reading. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach that examines the problem in depth. The subjects of this study were 4 adolescent informants aged 19-23 years, namely Fadriansah, Nisrina Danti, Fika Aulia, and Rizky Saputra. Based on the results of this study, it was found that the audience's interpretation was based on Stuart Hall's theory, from the four informants the meaning of negotiation and opposition emerged where the audience had a new meaning which they conveyed through their answers. The dominant meaning occurs when the teenager admits that because of love and affection that causes the form of romanticism to occur, the background and role of parents make the reason for the form of romance to occur in the film Teman Tapi Menikah 2. Keywords: Interpretation, Youth, Forms of Romanticism Film Teman Tapi Menikah 2 mengangkat sebuah kisah percintaan sepasang kekasih yang memiliki kisah cinta yang sudah lama sejak mereka jadi sahabat sejak disekolah sampai mereka menikah. Dan difilm ini banyak sekali bentuk-bentuk romantis yang dilakukan oleh pemeran utama hingga hal tersebut sangat menarik untuk diteliti. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui intepretasi remaja terhadap bentuk romantisme pada film Teman Tapi Menikah 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pemaknaan Khalayak yaitu kajian cultural studies, analisis resepsi, proses encoding/decoding Stuart Hall yang nantinya pendapat khalayak masuk dalam tiga kategorisasi yaitu dominant, opposition, dan negotiated reading. Tipe penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang mengkaji masalah secara mendalam. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 4 informan remaja yang berusia 19-23 tahun yaitu Fadriansah, Nisrina Danti, Fika Aulia, dan Rizky Saputra. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian ini didapati temuan bahwa interpretasi khalayak berdasarkan teori Stuart Hall, dari keempat informan muncul makna negoisasi dan oposisi dimana khalayak mempunyai makna baru yang mereka sampaikan lewat jawaban mereka. Makna dominan terjadi ketika remaja mengakui karena cinta dan sayang yang menimbulkan bentuk romantisme itu terjadi, latar belakang dan peran orang tua menjadikan alasan bentuk romantisme terjadi dalam film Teman Tapi Menikah 2.
