Abstract
The study aims to determine the relationship between playful work design and job crafting, the relationship between job crafting and work engagement, the relationship between playful work design and work engagement, and the role of job crafting as a mediator in the relationship between playful work design and work engagement. Work Engagement is the behavior of enthusiasm and satisfaction in the work that has been done shown through the completion of the work. Playful Work Design is the proactive behavior of employees in arranging fun and competitive work activities. Job Crafting is the ability of employees to change their work to be more in accordance with what is desired and in line with the company's goals. The sample of this study consisted of 653 respondents from the population of workers in Indonesia. Instrument analysis used validity and reliability tests. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Data testing used normality tests, homogeneity tests, linearity tests, multicollinearity tests, and homoscedasticity tests. Hypothesis testing used correlation tests, mediation regression tests, independent tests, and Anova tests. The results of the study stated that 1) there is a relationship between playful work design and job crafting in workers, the higher the playful work design, the higher the job crafting; 2) there is a relationship between job crafting and work engagement in workers, the higher the job crafting, the higher the work engagement; 3) there is a relationship between playful work design and work engagement in workers, the higher the playful work design, the higher the work engagement value; and 4) job crafting has a role as a mediator in the relationship between playful work design and work engagement in workers, which is seen through the decrease in the relationship between playful work design and work engagement after being mediated by job crafting. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara playful work design dengan job crafting, hubungan antara job crafting dengan work engagement, hubungan antara playful work design dengan work engagement, dan peran job crafting sebagai mediator terhadap hubungan antara playful work design dengan work engagement. Work Engagement merupakan perilaku semangat dan kepuasaan dalam pekerjaan yang sudah dilakukan ditunjukkan melalui ketuntasan pekerjaan. Playful Work Design merupakan perilaku proaktif karyawan dalam menyusun aktivitas kerja menyenangkan serta kompetitif. Job Crafting merupakan kemampuan karyawan dalam mengubah pekerjaannya menjadi lebih sesuai dengan yang diinginkan serta sejalan dengan tujuan perusahaan. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 653 responden dari populasi para pekerja di Indonesia. Analisis instrumen menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Pengujian data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji linearitas, uji multikolineritas, dan uji homoskedastisitas. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji korelasi, uji regresi mediasi, independent tes, dan uji Anova. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa 1) terdapat hubungan antara playful work design dan job crafting pada pekerja, semakin tinggi playful work design, maka semakin tinggi job crafting; 2) terdapat hubungan antara job crafting dan work engagement pada pekerja, semakin tinggi job crafting, maka semakin tinggi work engagement; 3) terdapat hubungan antara playful work design dan work engagement pada pekerja, semakin tinggi playful work design maka semakin tinggi nilai work engagement; dan 4) job crafting memiliki peran sebagai mediator pada hubungan playful work design dan work engagement pada pekerja, yang dilihat melalui penurunan hubungan antara playful work design dengan work engagement setelah dimediasi oleh job crafting.
