Abstract
The teaching profession has undergone significant changes in recent years due to advancements in technology, shifts in social values, and changes in educational priorities. One of the main challenges teachers face is adapting to curriculum developments and teaching methods as well as managing student diversity in the classroom. This study aims to analyze the influence of spirituality and attitudes toward money on the performance of young adult high school teachers in West Jakarta. Data from 282 high school teacher respondents reveal that the majority of teachers hold positive views towards both factors. The measurement tools used in this study include the Work Role Performance Scale (WRP-S) to assess performance, the Employee Spirituality Scale to measure the level of spirituality, and the Money Ethic Scale (MES) to evaluate attitudes toward money. The analysis results indicate a significant positive relationship between teacher performance and both independent variables: spirituality and attitudes toward money. Enhanced spirituality and attitudes toward money were found to contribute to improved teacher performance. These findings underscore the importance of these factors in enhancing teacher effectiveness in the classroom. The study concludes that spirituality and attitudes toward money have a significant impact on teacher performance. Keywords: Teacher performance, spirituality, attitudes toward money, education Profesi guru telah mengalami perubahan signifikan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir akibat kemajuan teknologi, perubahan nilai sosial, dan pergeseran prioritas pendidikan. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi guru adalah penyesuaian dengan perkembangan kurikulum dan metode pengajaran serta pengelolaan keragaman siswa di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh spiritualitas dan sikap terkait uang terhadap kinerja guru SMA usia dewasa muda di Jakarta Barat. Data dari 282 responden guru SMA mengungkapkan bahwa mayoritas guru memiliki pandangan positif terhadap kedua faktor ini. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup Work Role Performance Scale (WRP-S) untuk mengukur kinerja, Employee Spirituality Scale untuk mengukur tingkat spiritualitas, dan Money Ethic Scale (MES) untuk mengukur sikap terkait uang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kinerja guru dan kedua variabel independen spiritualitas dan sikap terkait uang. Peningkatan spiritualitas dan sikap terkait uang terbukti berkontribusi pada peningkatan kinerja guru. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kedua faktor ini berperan penting dalam meningkatkan efektivitas guru di kelas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa spiritualitas dan sikap terkait uang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Kata Kunci: Kinerja guru, spiritualitas, sikap terkait uang, pendidikan
