Abstract
ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the effect of positive parenting practices on self-discipline in This research aims to determine the effect of positive parenting practices on self-discipline in adolescents in the South Tangerang area. This research used a correlational quantitative design, involving 200 respondents in the South Tangerang area obtained through incidental sampling techniques. The measuring instruments used for both variables are the Self-Discipline Scale (Bryant, 2011) and the Parents As Social Context Questionnaire (PSCQ) (Skinner et al., 2005) which have also been adapted into Indonesian and tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression techniques. The results of this research prove that there is a significant positive influence as evidenced by the results of R = 0.665 with a sig value. 0.00 < 0.05 and R2 value 0.422. This means that positive parenting practices contribute to self-discipline in teenagers in the South Tangerang area by 42.2% and the rest is influenced by other variables outside this research. Demographic data in this study related to age, gender, school status, class level and living together, provide differences in parenting practices towards self-discipline among adolescents in the South Tangerang area. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh praktik pengasuhan positif terhadap disiplin diri pada remaja di wilayah Tangerang Selatan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional, melibatkan 200 responden di wilayah Tangerang Selatan yang diperoleh melalui teknik insidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk kedua variabel adalah Self-Discipline Scale (Bryant, 2011) dan Parents As Social Context Questionnaire (PSCQ) (Skinner et al., 2005) yang juga telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia dan teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data dianalisis menggunakan Teknik regresi linear sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan dibuktikan dengan hasil R = 0,665 dengan nilai sig. 0,00 < 0,05 dan nilai R2 0,422. Hal ini berarti bahwa praktik pengasuhan positif memberikan sumbangan terhadap disiplin diri pada remaja di wilayah Tangerang selatan sebesar 42,2% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini. Data demografi pada penelitian ini terkait usia, jenis kelamin, status sekolah, tingkatan kelas dan tinggal bersama, memberikan perbedaan pada Praktik pengasuhan Terhadap Disiplin diri Pada Remaja di Wilayah Tangerang Selatan.
