Abstract
The short film “Wibu In Love” tells the story of a teenage boy with an obsession with anime characters who begins to approach women in real life with the help of his friend. Even though he faced difficulties, in the end the man met a woman, who made him feel love and at the same time brought changes to the man. In making the short film “Wibu In Love” there are three stages that must be passed. The three stages are pre-production, production and post-production. In this applicable work, the author acts as an editor in charge of editing videos, where this is the first step an editor will take, namely editing or collecting videos that have been taken or recorded. Then the editor is also tasked with rearranging previously recorded videos in the order stated in the script or scenario. After that, the editor also filters the video to provide effects and manipulates the images to make the video appear more attractive. Then the editor is also responsible for processing sound, creating titles and finishing so that the resulting video is put together perfectly Based on the process of making this applicable final assignment, it can be concluded that the writer as editor, the writer applies the concept of continuity with the aim of making the audience feel comfortable or not disturbed by the ambiguity of space or time and to create continuity or matching between shots. Keywords: Short Film, Wibu In Love, Continuity editing Keywords: Short Film, Wibu In Love, Continuity editing Film pendek “Wibu In Love” ini berkisah mengenai seorang remaja lakilaki dengan obsesinya terhadap karakter anime mulai mendekati perempuan di kehidupan nyata dibantu oleh temannya. Walau menghadapi kesulitan, pada akhirnya laki-laki tersebut bertemu dengan satu perempuan, yang membuatnya merasakan cinta sekaligus membawa perubahan terhadap diri laki-laki tersebut. Dalam Pembuatan Film Pendek “Wibu In Love” terdapat tiga tahap yang harus dilalui. Ketiga tahap tersebut adalah pra produksi, produksi, dan pasca produksi. Dalam karya aplikatif ini penulis berperan sebagai editor yang bertugas dalam menyunting video, dimana hal tersebut merupakan langkah pertama yang akan dilakukan seorang editor yaitu menyunting atau mengumpulkan video yang sudah diambil atau direkam. Kemudian editor juga bertugas untuk menyusun ulang video-video yang sudah direkam sebelumnya sesuai dengan urutan sebagaimana tercantum dalam naskah atau skenario. Setelah itu editor juga memfilter video untuk memberikan efek dan memanipulasi gambar agar tampilan video lebih menarik. Lalu editor juga bertugas dalam mengolah suara, membuat title, serta finishing agar video yang dihasilkan terangkai dengan sempurna Berdasarkan proses pembuatan tugas akhir aplikatif ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penulis sebagai editor, Penulis menerapkan konsep Continuity dengan tujuan membuat penonton merasa nyaman atau tidak terganggu oleh ketidakjelasan ruang maupun waktu dan agar menciptakan kesinambungan atau matching antar shot Kata Kunci: Film Pendek, Wibu In Love, Continuity editing
