Abstract

Teknologi yang berkembang pesat telah membawa ke era baru, era Society 5.0, di mana perubahan yang cepat mempengaruhi hampir semua aspek kehidupan, termasuk dunia kerja. Agar tetap kompetitif dan berkembang di era ini, pekerja harus mampu menyesuaikan keterampilan terutama career adaptability mereka dengan kebutuhan yang terus berubah. Penelitian ini menyelidiki peran hardiness sebagai mediator pada hubungan emotional intelligence dan career adaptability di era Society 5.0. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi mediasi melalui software PROCESS V4.0 oleh Andrew F. Hayes dan teknik pengambilan sampel convenience sampling dengan 628 pekerja, penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur seperti Hardiness Resilience Gauge (HRG), Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS), dan Career Adapt-Abilities Scale- Short Form (CAAS-SF). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hardiness berperan sebagai mediator dalam hubungan emotional intelligence dan career adaptability. Dengan kata lain, career adaptabiliy semakin meningkat setelah emotional intelligence mempengaruhi hardiness terlebih dahulu. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan panduan bagi para pekerja dan perusahaan mengenai pentingnya memahami hardiness, emotional intelligence, dan career adaptability, sehingga para pekerja dapat lebih efektif dalam menghadapi perubahan dan tanggung jawab pekerjaan mereka Rapidly evolving technology has brought us to a new era, the Society 5.0 era, where rapid changes af ect almost all aspects of life, including the world of work. To remain competitive and thrive in this era, workers must be able to adapt their skills, especially career adaptability, to changing needs. This study investigates the role of hardiness as a mediator in the relationship between emotional intelligence and career adaptability in the Society 5.0 era. Using quantitative method with mediation regression analysis through PROCESS V4.0 software by Andrew F. Hayes and convenience sampling technique with a total of 628 respondents, this study used the Hardiness Resilience Gauge (HRG), Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS), and Career Adapt-Abilities Scale- Short Form (CAAS-SF) measurement tools. The results showed that hardiness acts as a mediator in the relationship between emotional intelligence and career adaptability. In other words, career adaptability increases after emotional intelligence af ects hardiness first. The findings are expected to provide guidance for workers and companies regarding the importance of understanding hardiness, emotional intelligence, and career adaptability, so that workers can be more ef ective in dealing with the changes and responsibilities of their jobs.
