Abstract

Era society 5.0 memberikan perubahan signifikan di seluruh lapisan kehidupan termasuk dalam dunia kerja, menuntut penyesuaian cepat dari para pekerja terhadap perkembangan teknologi seperti kecerdasan buatan (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), dan otomatisasi yang mempengaruhi cara kerja diberbagai industri. Di tengah perubahan ini, penting untuk memahami bagaimana emotional intelligence, hardiness, dan work engagement berinteraksi untuk membantu para pekerja agar tetap produktif serta penyesuaian dengan cepat terhadap perubahan era society 5.0 dan pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan work engagement. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hardiness memiliki peran sebagai mediator hubungan antara emotional intelligence dan work engagement pada pekerja di era society 5.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif melalui proses regresi mediasi menggunakan PROCESS V4.0 Procedure for SPSS oleh Andrew F. Hayes dan teknik convenience sampling kepada 665 pekerja Indonesia, penelitian ini mengunakan alat ukur Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS), dan Hardiness Resilience Gange (HRG). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hardiness berperan sebagai mediator hubungan antara emotional intelligence dan work engagement, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa emotional intelligence dan work engagement akan semakin meningkat dengan adanya peran dari hardiness. Penelitian ini diharapkan bisa memberi acuan pada pekerja dan perusahaan mengenai pentingnya memahami nilai-nilai hardiness, emotional intelligence, dan work engagement sehingga pekerja dapat memahami kemampuan individu dalam beradaptasi guna meningkatkan keterlibatan kerja di tengah era society 5.0 The Society 5.0 era brings significant changes inall walks of life including the world of work, demanding rapid adjustments from workers to technological developments such as artificial intelligence(AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and automation that affect the way of working in various industries. In the midst of these changes, i tis important to understand how emotional intteligence, hardiness, and work engagement interact to help workers remain productive and adjust quickly to the changes in the era of society 5.0 and ultimately increase work engagement. This study aims to determine whether hardiness has a role as a mediator of the relationship between emotional intelligence and work engagement in workers in the Society 5.0 era. This study uses quantitative methods through a mediation regression process using PROCESS V4.0 Procedure for SPSS by Andrew F. Hayes and convenience sampling techniques to 665 Indonesia workers, this study uses the Utrech Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS), and Hardiness Resilience Gange (HRG) measuring instruments. The results of this study indicate that hardiness acts as a mediator of the relationship between emotional intelligence and work engagement, indicating that emotional intelligence and work engagement will increase with the role of hardiness. This research is expected to provide a referenses for workers and companies regarding the importance of understanding that values of hardiness, emotional intelligence, and work engagement so that workers can understand the ability of individuals to adapt in order to increase work engagement in the midst of the Society 5.0 era.
