Abstract

Park city is one form of Green Open Space that should provide many benefits for the community. Park city is closely related to ecological function as the main function of an open space (green open space). this aspect can affect the user's convenience. This study aims to: (1) identify vegetation in urban parks and their functions, (2) evaluate ecological functions in urban parks, and (3) to know people's perceptions and preferences. The research was conducted for two days and located in two city parks in Tangerang, such as Taman Potret and Taman Gajah Tunggal. The research method is quantitative descriptive with ecological function evaluation approach, which consists of preparation, inventory, analysis, assessment and evaluation, and compilation of information. The result of this research is information of ecological function of each city park which will be used as reference for local government and related parties in green application in city park. Based on the assessment of ecological functions. Taman Gajah Tunggal has the best noise-canceling function, the Portrait Garden has the best temperature modification (shade) and humidity functionality, and the single elephant park has the best windbreak function. Through the distribution of questionnaires it is known that the respondents want the addition of facilities and infrastructure in the city park to support the activity. Taman kota adalah salah satu bentuk Ruang Terbuka Hijau yang seharusnya memberikan banyak manfaat bagi masyarakat. Taman kota sangat erat kaitannya dengan fungsi ekologis sebagai fungsi utama sebuah RTH (ruang terbuka hijau). aspek ini dapat mempengaruhi kenyamanan pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi vegetasi di taman kota beserta fungsinya, (2) mengevaluasi fungsi ekologis di taman kota, dan (3) mengetahui persepsi dan preferensi masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama dua hari dan berlokasi di dua taman kota di Tangerang, antara lain Taman Potret dan Taman Gajah Tunggal. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan evaluasi fungsi ekologis, yang terdiri dari persiapan, inventarisasi, analisis, penilaian dan evaluasi, serta penyusunan informasi. Hasil penelitian ini berupa informasi fungsi ekologis masing-masing taman kota yang akan dijadikan acuan bagi pemerintah daerah dan pihak terkait dalam aplikasi tata hijau di taman kota. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian fungsi ekologis, Taman Gajah Tunggal memiliki skor fungsi peredam bising yang terbaik, Taman Potret memiliki fungsi modifikasi suhu (peneduh) dan kelembaban udara yang terbaik, serta Taman gajah tunggal memiliki fungsi penahan angin yang terbaik. Melalui penyebaran kuisioner diketahui bahwa responden menginginkan adanya penambahan sarana dan prasarana di taman kota untuk menunjang aktivitas
