Abstract

Jakarta as the capital city and economic center with population and economic growth are increasing every year, making the city as a bustling city with all its activities. To support all these activities it requires good transport modes. Problems mode of transportation in the city is a crucial issue because every day more than four million commuters into the city of Jakarta which originate from areas around Jakarta (Jabodetabek), it is this that is causing the congestion problems that occur in all regions of the city. To overcome the problem of congestion is necessary to do the selection of the appropriate transport and can be used by many people at once, and this demands that are owned by the rail transport mode. Due to the high demands in designing the station should pay attention to the needs of the community, in addition to entering the local culture of the area Kota Jakarta sebagai ibu kota negara dan pusat perekonomian dengan pertumbuhan penduduk dan ekonomi yang semakin meningkat tiap tahunnya, menjadikan kota Jakarta sebagai kota yang sibuk dengan segala aktivitasnya. Untuk menunjang segala aktivitas tersebut maka diperlukanlah moda transportasi yang baik. Permasalahan moda transportasi di kota Jakarta merupakan masalah yang krusial karena setiap harinya lebih dari empat juta penglaju masuk ke kota jakarta yang berasal dari daerah-daerah di sekitar DKI Jakarta (Jabodetabek), hal inilah yang menimbulkan masalah kemacetan yang terjadi di seluruh wilayah kota Jakarta. Untuk mengatasi masalah kemacetan maka perlu dilakukan pemilihan transportasi yang tepat dan dapat digunakan oleh banyak orang sekaligus, dan tuntutan inilah yang dimiliki oleh moda transportasi kereta api. Karena tuntutan yang tinggi tersebut maka dalam merancang stasiun kereta harus memperhatikan kebutuhan masyarakat, selain itu dengan memasukkan budaya lokal dari asal daerah tersebut, yang dalam perancangan ini mengambil budaya Flores Manggarai, dapat menjadi nilai lebih karena sebagai bentuk upaya untuk melestarikan budaya asli indonesia Kata kunci: Stasiun Manggarai
