Abstract

Financial distress is a state of prolonged financial decline that can ultimately lead to bankruptcy for a company. This study aims to analyze and determine the influence of leverage, intellectual capital, and sales growth on financial distress in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2019-2022. The method used in this research is quantitative. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample used in this study was 23 property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for 2019-2022. The data analysis method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS 25 application program. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Leverage has a negative and significant effect on financial distress (2) Intellectual Capital has no effect on financial distress (3) Sales Growth has no effect on financial distress. Financial distress adalah keadaan penurunan keuangan yang berkepanjangan yang pada akhirnya dapat menyebabkan kebangkrutan bagi perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui pengaruh leverage, intellectual capital, dan sales growth terhadap financial distress pada perusahaan properti dan real estate yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2019-2022. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 23 perusahaan properti dan real estate yang terdaftar di Bursa efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2018- 2022. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan program aplikasi SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Leverage berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap financial distress (2) Intellectual Capital tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress (3) Sales Growth tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress.
