Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see a relationship between cyberbullying and self-concept in victims of early adulthood. The subjects studied were early adult Instagram users with an age range of 18-40. In this study using a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 104 respondents. The measuring instrument in this study was the cyberbullying scale from Cetin et al 2011 with a reliability of .921 and a self-concept measure from Berzonsky 1981 with a reliability of .957. The results of this study have a value and correlation coefficient r = -.650 (p = 0.000). The hypothesis in this study is accepted, namely that there is a negative relationship between cyberbullying and self-concept in victims of early adulthood. In this case, the higher the level of cyberbullying, the lower the level of self-concept in victims of early adulthood. Conversely, the lower the level of cyberbullying, the higher the level of self-concept. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat adanya hubungan antara cyberbullying dengan konsep diri pada korban usia dewasa awal. Subjek yang diteliti adalah pengguna instagram dewasa awal dengan rentang usia 18-40. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling purposive dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 104 responden. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini adalah skala cyberbullying dari Cetin et al 2011 dengan reliabilitas .921 dan alat ukur konsep diri dari Berzonsky 1981 dengan reliabilitas .957. Hasil penelitian ini memiliki nilai dan koefisien korelasi r = -.650 (p = 0.000). Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima yaitu terdapat hubungan negatif antara cyberbullying dengan konsep diri pada korban usia dewasa awal. Dalam hal ini semakin tinggi tingkat Cyberbullying maka semakin rendah tingkat konsep diri pada korban usia dewasa awal. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah tingkat Cyberbullying maka semakin tinggi tingkat Konsep Diri.
