Abstract

As an 3D animated film favored by children, Kiko has a certain message that is represented through visual signs. In this research object, the author wants to see what kind of signs are used to represent the message of Kiko and Occi's friendship. This research uses Semiotics method and Peirce's theory as the analysis knife, Stuart Hall's Represetation, friendship and animation film theory. The semiotic method is used to analyze visual signs, and discussed using the theory to get an understanding the sign of friendship. The results of the author's research found the fact that in the episodes Happy Birthday Kiko (ep.3, season 3, 2021) the use of visuals, symbols and indices, especially symbols are quite dominantly used, including the use of colors. the animation uses three kinds of signs, namely rhematic indexical legisign, rhematic symbol and argument. Kiko and Occi's friendship is a relationship that has dyadic characteristics, has elements of attention and care, is voluntary, egalitarian, and is a friend in doing activities together. Keywords: Semiotics, Pierce, Representation, Animation, and Friendship Sebagai sebuah film animasi 3D yang digemari anak-anak Kiko memiliki pesan tertentu yang direpresentasinya melalui tanda-tanda visual. Dalam objek penelitian ini penulis ingin melihat seperti apa tanda-tanda digunakan merepresentasikan pesan persahabatan Kiko dan Occi. Penelitian ini memakai metode Semiotika dan teori Peirce sebagai pisau analisis, Represetasi Stuart Hall, persahabatan dan teori film animasi. Metode semiotika digunakan untuk menganalisis tanda-tanda visual, dan dibahas menggunakan teori untuk mendapatkan pemahaman mengenai tanda persahabatan Hasil penelitian penulis menemukan fakta bahwa dalam serial Kiko Hadiah Spesial (ep.3, musim ke-3, 2021) penggunaan visual, simbol dan indeks, terutama simbol cukup dominan digunakan, termasuk penggunaan warna. Animasi ini tiga macam tanda yaitu rhematic indexical legisign, rhematic symbol dan argument. Persahabatan Kiko dan Occi merupakan hubungan yang memiliki karakteristik dyadic, memiliki unsur perhatian dan kepedulian, bersifat sukarela, bersifat egalitarian, dan bersifat kawan dalam melakukan kegiatan bersama.
