Abstract
This research aims to (1) understand the design and implementation of Internet Networks using PPPoE. (2) Overcoming limited internet quota in the Pabuaran housing complex, Cibinong. (3) Implementing the PPPoE Network in the Pabuaran Cibinong housing complex. Supporting facilities to assist this research are Internet Service Provider (ISP), MikroTik Router, Access Point, Switch/Hub, WinBox, and LAN Cable. The data collection techniques that will be used are observation and interviews. The research methodology that researchers use is Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC). This research will create a network simulation that only uses the yEd Graph Editor tools to build the topology that will be designed. This research will use The Dude tool to monitor the network. The results of this research show that the design and implementation of an Internet network using PPPoE has been successfully carried out using Mikrotik. (2) Design and Implementation of a Residential Internet Network using PPPoE in Housing, Pabuaran, Cibinong can help and overcome the problem of limited internet quota (3) Implementation of the PPPoE Network in the Pabuaran Cibinong housing complex was successfully carried out where the failover test was shown by automatically replacing the ISP service at the time The main ISP is down. Keywords: Residential Networks, Internet, PPPoE, failover. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) memahami perancangan dan implementasi Jaringan Internet menggunakan PPPoE. (2) Mengatasi keterbatasan kuota internet di perumahan Pabuaran, Cibinong. (3) Mengimplementasikan Jaringan PPPoE pada perumahan Pabuaran Cibinong. Sarana pendukung untuk membantu penelitian ini adalah Internet Service Provider (ISP), Router MikroTik, Access Point, Switch/Hub, WinBox, dan Kabel LAN. Teknik pengumpulan data yang akan digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara. Metodologi penelitian yang peneliti gunakan yaitu Network Development Life Cyle (NDLC). Penelitian ini akan membuat simulasi jaringan yang hanya menggunakan alat bantu tools yEd Graph Editor untuk membangun topologi yang akan didesain. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan tool The Dude untuk memonitor jaringan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perancangan dan implementasi Jaringan Internet menggunakan PPPoE telah berhasil dilakukan menggunakan mikrotik. (2) Perancangan dan Implementasi Jaringan Internet Perumahan menggunakan PPPoE di Perumahan, Pabuaran, Cibinong bisa membantu dan mengatasi masalah keterbatasannya kuota internet (3) Implementasikan Jaringan PPPoE pada perumahan Pabuaran Cibinong berhasil dilakukan dimana pada pengujian failover ditunjukkan dengan penggantian layanan ISP secara otomatis pada saat ISP utama mengalami down.
