Abstract
Reforestation is a very important and urgent effort to do. As is the case around the Ciracas area, East Jakarta, there are still many local residents who are less sensitive to preserving the surrounding environment. To anticipate this, reforestation is a necessity. Reforestation cannot be avoided because it is hoped that the balance in an environment can be maintained. Reforestation is expected to be taken more seriously. This seriousness is carried out by involving several government and private agencies. The success of an environment doing reforestation is difficult to obtain if it is not supported by the community. Community potential is the main thing in shaping the face of a green and beautiful environment. Community participation is needed because the nature of reforestation is an activity from, by, and for the community. Key Word: (greenery, environment, mango tree, jakarta) Penghijauan merupakan upaya yang sangat penting dan mendesak dilakukan.Seperti hal nya di sekitar wilayah Ciracas, Jakarta Timur masih banyak warga setempat kurang peka terhadap melestarikan lingkungan disekitarnya. Untuk mengantisipasi hal tersebut penghijauan merupakan suatu keniscayaan. Penghijauan tak dapat dihindari karena dengannya diharapkan keseimbangan disuatu lingkungan dapat dijaga. Penghijauan diharapkan digarap secara lebih serius. Keseriusan ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan beberapa instansi baik pemerintah maupun swasta. Keberhasilan suatu lingkungan melakukan penghijauan sulit diperoleh apabila tidak didukung oleh masyarakatnya. Potensi masyarakat merupakan hal yang utama dalam membentuk wajah lingkungan yang hijau dan indah. Peran serta masyarakat sangat dibutuhkan sebab hakikat penghijauan merupakan kegiatan dari, oleh, dan untuk masyarakat Kata Kunci: (Penghijauan, Lingkungan, pohon mangga, Jakarta)
