Abstract
Children's dental health is very important to maintain and pay attention to from an early age, because teeth are an important factor that supports the child's growth period. Children who have dental problems will be lazy to eat and have no appetite to eat. This can have an impact on their nutritional intake, which can lead to a decline in their body's health and growth and development. The 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) results state that the prevalence of cavities in early childhood is still very high. Therefore, in this final project, the author's desire arose to make an illustrated story book from early childhood 3-6 years about dental health. The purpose of designing this illustrated story book is for children to receive education and learn that maintaining healthy teeth from an early age is very important. The design uses a qualitative method where the author conducts a literature study by seeking information sourced from books, journals, results of similar research reports and other literature with supporting themes. The illustration uses a cartoon style and the selection of other visual components such as color and typography adjusts to the target of children aged 3-6 years. Some supporting media are also used, such as x-banners, t-shirts, key chains, popsockets, magnetic patches, and stickers. The final results of the design work are published through offline as well as online exhibitions. Keywords : Illustration Storybook, Dental Health, Toothbrushing Kesehatan gigi anak sangatlah penting untuk dijaga dan diperhatikan sejak dini, karena gigi merupakan faktor penting yang mendukung masa pertumbuhan anak. Anak yang memiliki masalah gigi akan malas makan dan tidak selera untuk makan, hal tersebut dapat berimbas pada asupan gizinya yang dapat menyebabkan turunnya kondisi kesehatan tubuh dan tumbuh kembangnya. Hasil Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) tahun 2018 menyebutkan bahwa prevalensi gigi berlubang pada anak usia dini masih sangat tinggi. Maka dari itu, pada tugas akhir ini muncul keinginan penulis untuk membuat buku cerita ilustrasi anak usia dini 3-6 tahun mengenai kesehatan gigi, Tujuan dari perancangan buku cerita ilustrasi tersebut agar anak mendapat edukasi maupun pembelajaran bahwa menjaga kesehatan gigi sejak dini sangatlah penting. Perancangan menggunakan metode kualitatif dimana penulis melakukan studi pustaka dengan mencari informasi yang bersumber dari buku-buku, jurnal, hasil laporan penelitian sejenis dan literatur lain dengan tema yang mendukung. Ilustrasi menggunakan gaya kartun dan pemilihan komponen visual lainnya seperti warna, tipografi menyesuaikan target anak usia 3-6 tahun. Beberapa media pendukung juga turut digunakan seperti x-banner, t-shirt, gantungan kunci, popsocket, tempelan magnet, dan stiker. Hasil akhir dari perancangan karya dipublikasikan melalui pameran secara offline juga online. Kata kunci: Buku Cerita Ilustrasi, Kesehatan Gigi, Gosok Gigi.
