Abstract
This study aims to examine and analyze the ability of the ERM (enterprise risk management) variable to mediate the influence of the firm size, leverage, profitability, and institutional ownership variables on the firm value of the insurance sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015- 2019. This study used 12 samples from 16 insurance sub-sector companies listed on the IDX in 2020 that met the criteria for purposive sampling. The data were processed using a path analysis approach. The results of the research in equation 1 show that firm size has a significant positive effect on ERM. DER, ROA has a significant negative effect on ERM. Meanwhile institutional ownership were found to have no effect on ERM. The results of the research in equation 2 show that DER and institutional ownership have a significant negative effect on firm value, while firm size, ROA, ERM have no effect on firm value. Using the Sobel Test it was found that ERM as an intervening variable was unable to mediate the effect of firm size, DER, ROA, institutional ownership on firm value. Keywords: firm value, enterprise risk management (ERM), company size, leverage, institutional ownership Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji serta menganalisis kemampuan variabel ERM (enterprise risk management) dalam memediasi pengaruh variabel firm size, leverage, profitability, dan institutional ownership terhadap nilai perusahaan subsektor asuransi terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2015-2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan 12 sampel dari 16 perusahaan sub-sektor asuransi terdaftar di BEI tahun 2020 yang memenuhi kriteria pada penentuan sampel secara purposive. Data diolah menggunakan pendekatan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian pada persamaan satu menunjukkan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap ERM, DER, ROA berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap ERM. Kepemilikan institusional ditemukan tidak berpengaruh terhadap ERM. Hasil penelitian pada persamaan dua menunjukkan DER dan kepemilikan institusional berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, sementara ukuran perusahaan, ROA, ERM tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan. Menggunakan Uji Sobel ditemukan bahwa ERM sebagai variabel intervening tidak mampu memediasi pengaruh ukuran perusahaan, DER, ROA, kepemilikan institusional terhadap nilai perusahaan.
