Abstract
With the increasing use of motorized vehicles, it creates new problems, especially in the transportation sector and also problems such as obstacles at sections and intersections. The intersection of Jl. Surotokunto - Jl. Wirasaba, Karawang, has a high level of vehicle density that has the potential to cause accidents. Accidents are caused by four factors, namely humans, vehicles, roads and the environment. The research was conducted using the Traffic Conflict Technique (TCT) method. Traffic Conflict Technique (TCT) is a method of observing by recording near-missed accidents and looking at the pattern of accidents. The intersection of Jl. Surotokunto - Jl. Wirasaba has the potential to cause accidents, 57.2% of which are serious conflicts while non-serious conflicts occur at 42.8%. Vehicle speed and road user discipline are factors that cause conflicts to occur at this intersection. Improving the traffic phase and adding road signs such as no-stop signs and maximum speed limit signs are efforts that can be made to prevent conflicts. Keywords: Accident, Intersection, Traffic Safety, TCT. Persimpangan Jl. Surotokunto – Jl.
