Abstract
The World Health Organization (WHO) has set Covid-19 to be a global pandemic. Public awareness to wash their hands is increasing. The company studied is one of the companies that produces hand sanitizers, where hand sanitizers are useful as hand washing replacements for clean water or after washing hands with water. In the hand sanitizer production process, the productivity value measured by Overall Equipment Effectiveness is only 79.23%, still below the World Class Manufacturing standard of 85%. Availability rate due to the length of the changeover process, affecting not achieve OEE values and this becomes a problem is the background of this research. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of OEE and effectiveness of the implementation of the results of repair. This research method is by collecting data, brainstorming, and direct observation of problems in the field. Pareto and fishbone diagrams are used in identifying cause and effect problems that occur. The results & conclusions of this study are that improvements using the Single Minute Exchange (SMED) method with the ECRS concept can reduce the changeover time from 180 minutes to 100 minutes, resulting in an increase in effectiveness with the OEE value to 87.84%, where the Availability Rate value is from 83.15% to 89.73%, Performance Rate from 95.52% to 97.97%, Quality Rate from 99.76% to 99.91% and all values exceed World Class Manufacturing standard. Key word: Hand Sanitizer, OEE, Six Big Losses, SMED, ECRS, Pareto, Fishbone World Health Organization (WHO) menetapkan Covid-19 menjadi pandemi global. Kesadaran masyarakat untuk mencuci tangan menjadi meningkat. Perusahaan yang di teliti adalah salah satu perusahaan yang memproduksi hand sanitizer, di mana hand sanitizer berguna sebagai pencuci tangan pengganti air bersih atau setelah mencuci tangan dengan air. Pada proses produksi hand sanitizer nilai produktivitas yang diukur dengan Overall Equipment Effectiveness hanya 79,23% masih di bawah standar World Class Manufacturing 85%. Availability Rate disebabkan karena lamanya proses changeover, mempengaruhi tidak tercapainya nilai OEE dan ini menjadi masalah yang menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis penyebab OEE dan efektivitas implementasi hasil perbaikan. Metode penelitian ini adalah dengan pengumpulan data, brainstorming, dan pengamatan langsung permasalahan di lapangan. Pareto dan fishbone diagram digunakan dalam mengidentifikasi sebab akibat masalah yang terjadi. Hasil & kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perbaikan menggunakan metode Single Minute Exchange (SMED) dengan konsep ECRS dapat mengurangi waktu changeover dari 180 menit menjadi 100 menit, sehingga terjadi peningkatan efektivitas dengan nilai OEE menjadi 87,84%, di mana nilai Availability Rate dari 83,15% menjadi 89,73 %, Performance Rate dari 95,52% menjadi 97,97%, Quality Rate dari 99,76% menjadi 99,91% dan semua nilai melampaui standar World Class Manufacturing.
