Abstract
There is many construction in Jakarta that have narrow areas, methods and structures are needed to adapt the site condition, for example excavation work with a deep depth. Secant pile is one solution can be used as a retaining wall in deep excavation. The research was conducted to evaluate the secant pile retaining wall in Pembangunan Sudetan Kali Ciliwung ke Kanal Banjir Timur (KBT) Project. The research presents a comparative evaluation of the amount of secant pile deflection between the existing structures used against the results of actual monitoring of geotechnical instruments and optimization in the form of strutting dimensions and reduction in the number of struttings. The results of this research show that there is a safety factor of 5.7 between the actual monitoring and the structural analysis used. In addition, with optimization in the form of reducing the dimensions of the strutting and reducing the number of strutting, the secant pile retaining structure is still able to withstand the excavation load above the permissible safety factor (> 1.5).
