Abstract
Nowadays, many resort hotels around tourism area, one of them is Resinda Hotel Resort at Karawang tourism area. Moreover, this hotel has an exquisite exterior view, so that hotel guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery from the mountains and rural. Resinda hotel resort has a potential to develop better in the future, and able to compete with another resort hotels, especially in Karawang tourism area. Four ways method included in this research, e.g literature review. Literature review divided into two, resort hotel study, and Karawang City cultural study. Furthermore, comparative field study included collecting data by conducting the direct observation of the object that has the same function with that are designed, viz., location survey, resort hotel documentation, interview, and observe activities in survey location. Lastly, planning, designing, and design development of Resinda Karawang Hotel Resort. Resinda Hotel Resort designed to presents sophisticated conference hotel that meet the needs of tourists for vacation and rest. Concept applied is “Modern Tropical” interior design concept, and “Expression Of Ethnic Java” interior theme. Culture preserved in modern times. Keywords: Hotel Resort, Karawang tourism area, Resinda, Karawang’s culture, Javanese, Modern Tropical. Saat ini, di Indonesia cukup banyak bermunculan hotel-hotel resort di sekitar kawasan wisata, salah satunya adalah Hotel Resort Resinda yang berada di Kawasan Kota Karawang. Selain itu, hotel ini juga memiliki view eksterior yang sangat indah, sehingga para tamu hotel dapat menikmati pemandangan pegunungan dan pedesaan. Dengan kedua kelebihan tersebut, maka Hotel Resort Resinda memiliki potensi untuk terus berkembang lebih baik lagi ke depannya, dan mampu bersaing dengan hotel-hotel resort lainnya, khususnya di kawasan Karawang. Metode penulisan disini meliputi 4 cara, yaitu studi pustaka yang berupa literatur. Studi keperpustakaan terbagi menjadi 2, yaitu studi mengenai hotel resort, serta studi kebudayaan Kota Karawang. Setelah itu, studi banding lapangan meliputi pengumpulan data dengan cara mengadakan pengamatan langsung kepada objek yang memiliki kesamaan fungsi dengan yang dirancang. Antara lain; survey lokasi, dokumentasi hotel resort, wawancara dan mengamati kegiatan ditempat survey. Dan terakhir adalah tahap perencanaan, perancangan, dan pengembangan desain Hotel Resort Resinda Karawang. Hotel Resort Resinda dirancang untuk menghadirkan hotel konferensi canggih memenuhi kebutuhan wisatawan untuk berlibur dan beristirahat. Dengan konsep yang diterapkan adalah gaya interior “Modern Tropis” dan tema interior ”Expression Of Ethnic java”. Kebudayaan yang dilestarikan di zaman modern. Kata Kunci : Hotel Resort, Kawasan Kota Karawang, Resinda, Kebudayaan Kota Karawang, Suku Jawa, Modern Tropis.
