Abstract
The development of technology and science that increases from year to year plays a very important role in increasing the number of various industries throughout the world, including the development of the oil and gas industry sector. However, the technological developments that exist in the world's industry today, sometimes still do not guarantee accompanied by improvements in the implementation of occupational safety and health aspects. The number of work accidents and occupational diseases in Indonesia is still quite high. One of the reasons is the low awareness of employers and employees of the importance of implementing K3. So far, the implementation of K3 is often considered as a cost, not as an investment to prevent work accidents. As a result, there are many work accidents in the industrial world. The research method uses a questionnaire to determine developments directly to the parties involved in the project. However, by distributing questionnaires to 37 respondents in the field, it can be found 22 high risks that affect the lack of implementation of SMK3 at the implementation stage of the construction of the Trans Sumatra KM Toll Station Rest Area. 172B's. With the results of the analysis carried out, it is hoped that it can help reduce work accidents that often occur in the field, especially in the construction project of the Trans Sumatra KM Toll Road Rest Area. 172B.
