Abstract
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is one of the results of the development of new technology in the world of construction. BIM or Building Information Modeling is a system or technology that includes some important information in the Design, Construction, Maintenance process that is integrated into 3D modeling. This BIM has begun to be used on projects in Indonesia and has been legally regulated in the Ministerial regulation of Minister For Public Works And Housing Republic of Indonesia Number 22/PRT/M/2018 on Construction of State Buildings. However, there are still many employees who do not understand the knowledge of BIM itself, so in result Indonesia lack of BIM experts. Therefore, the author made a final project regarding the comprehension of civil engineering students to application of BIM in Indonesia. This study uses descriptive analysis methods such as mean, standard deviation, and degree of achievement. The data obtained shows that the average civil engineering student in the Jakarta area has a "good enough" understanding of BIM based on the degree of achievement of 78%. The students still have “big enough” barriers in learning BIM. The following are the obstacles that make it difficult for students to learn BIM, among others are the high cost of BIM Software, the lack of BIM materials provided in formal education (university), the absence of clear BIM standards in Indonesia and the relatively expensive cost of BIM training Keyword: Building information modeling, Civil Engineering , College student, SPSS Building information modeling (BIM) merupakan salah satu hasil dari perkembangan teknologi baru di dunia konstruksi. BIM atau Building information modeling adalah suatu sistem atau teknologi yang mencakup beberapa informasi penting dalam proses Design, Construction, Maintenance yang terintegrasi pada pemodelan 3D. BIM ini sudah mulai digunakan pada proyek – proyek yang ada di Indonesia dan telah diatur secara hukum dalam Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat Republik Indonesia, Nomor 22/PRT/M/2018 tentang Pembangunan Bangunan Gedung Negara. Namun sampai saat ini pemahaman akan BIM itu sendiri masih banyak yang belum paham sehingga membuat kurangnya tenaga ahli BIM di Indonesia. Oleh sebab itu peneliti membuat tugas akhir mengenai tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa teknik sipil terhadap BIM di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif seperti mean, standar deviasi, serta derajat pencapaian. Data yang diperoleh yaitu bahwa rata – rata mahasiswa teknik sipil daerah Jakarta memiliki pemahaman yang “cukup baik” terhadap BIM berdasarkan nilai derajat pencapaiannya sebesar 78%. Para mahasiswa masih memiliki hambatan yang “cukup besar” dalam mempelajari BIM. Berikut hambatan yang menyulitkan mahasiswa dalam mempelajari BIM antara lain, mahalnya biaya Software BIM, kurangnya materi BIM yang diberikan di pendidikan formal(kampus), belum adanya standar BIM yang jelas di Indonesia dan biaya pelatihan BIM yang relatif mahal.
