Abstract

Berkuliah dan bekerja di zaman sekarang ini sudah bukan suatu hal yang sulit dilakukan, siapapun bisa berkuliah tidak hanya orang orang tertentu atau orang orang kelas atas yang bisa berkuliah dan terlebih lagi semakin bertambah nya tahun sektor akademik di Indonesia semakin berkembang, salah satu diantaranya adalah fenomena kelas karyawan. Banyak masalah yang dihadapi mahasiswa pekerja ini tidak semuanya berhasil sampai lulus karena beberapa faktor, beberapa diantaranya adalah faktor Optimisme dan Resiliensi Akademik, sehingga peneliti tertarik meneliti tentang Hubungan antara Resiliensi Akademik dengan Optimisme Pada Mahasiswa Yang Berkuliah Dan Bekerja. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian Kuantitatif, Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian kali ini berasal dari 2 variabel dan modifikasi 2 alat ukur yaitu: Pertama, the academic resilience scale (ARS-30) yang diadaptasi peneliti berdasarkan aspek yang digunakan Cassidy, (2016) meliputi perseverance, reflecting and adaptif help seeking, negative affect and emotional response memiliki 30 item pertanyaan. Kedua, life orientation revised (LOT-R) yang berisi 10 item pertanyaan yang diadaptasi peneliti menggunakan aspek yang digunakan oleh Scheier & Carver (1985) yang meliputi dimensi dispositional optimism & dispositional Pessimism. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa memiliki hubungan yang kuat dan positif, maka dapat dikatakan bahwa semakin baik resiliensi akademik yang dimiliki mahasiswa maka akan semakin baik juga optimisme pada mahasiswa begitupun sebaliknya. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi penelitian lanjutan sejenis. Keywords: Resiliensi Academic, Optimisme, Mahasiswa Pekerja studying and working today is no longer a difficult thing to do, anyone can study, not only certain people or upper-class people can go to college, and what's more, as the years go by the academic sector in Indonesia is growing, one of which is the employee class phenomenon. Many of the problems faced by these working students are not all successful until they graduate due to several factors, some of which are Academic Optimism and Resilience factors, so researchers are interested in researching the Relationship between Academic Resilience and Optimism in Students in College and Working. This research includes quantitative research. The research instruments used in this study came from 2 variables and modifications to 2 measurement tools, namely: First, the academic resilience scale (ARS-30) which was adapted by researchers based on aspects used by Cassidy, (2016) includes persistence, Reflective and adaptive help seeking, negative affect and emotional responses have 30 question items. Second, the revised life orientation (LOT-R) which contains 10 question items adapted by researchers using the aspects used by Scheier & Carver (1985) which include the dimensions of dispositional optimism & dispositional pessimism. The results of the study show that having a strong and positive relationship, it can be said that the better the academic resilience of students, the better the optimism of students and vice versa.
