Abstract
PT. GMF AeroAsia is an aircraft maintenance company for several customers around the world. Maintenance companies always try to improve the best service. One way is to use tools in the form of a gate system, where the system is expected to achieve the planned lead time target of 4 days. In the process of the works, the gate system still cannot meet the expected target. During the aircraft maintenance process waste was encountered which caused the target not to be met. The condition of the aircraft maintenance process is described in the Current State Value Stream Mapping which is then described activities that have Value Added, Non Value Added, and Necessary Non Value Added. From the result of weighting waste, it is known that gate 1 to gate 6 encountered waste which can slow down the maintenance process, where gate 3 and gate 5 are the gates that have a lot of waste. From the ranking of waste in the process activity mapping, the results obtained in the form of a sequence of critical waste from each existing waste, where the highest weight is waste waiting with a weight of 0.38. Then an analysis of the causes of waste waiting by using the Root Cause Analysis method is due to data that is not monitored properly, lack of attention to people development, and an error in the system. From these causes, recommendations for improvement are given using the 5W1H method and the results of the recommendations for improvement are reflected in the Future State Value Stream Mapping. The results of partial implementation show a decrease in lead time from the previous 7.02 days or 7 days become 4.08 days or 4 days and cycle time from the previous 5074.20 minutes become 3331.96 minutes. GMF AeroAsia merupakan perusahaan perawatan pesawat terbang terhadap beberapa customer di seluruh dunia. Perusahaan maintenance selalu berusaha untuk meningkatkan keunggulan layanannya. Salah satu caranya dengan menggunakan tools berupa gate system, dimana sistem tersebut diharapkan dapat mencapai target lead time yang telah direncanakan yaitu 4 hari. Dalam proses pengerjaannya, gate system tersebut masih belum dapat memenuhi target yang diharapkan. Selama proses perawatan pesawat masih ditemui waste yang menyebabkan target tidak terpenuhi. Kondisi dari proses perawatan pesawat tersebut digambarkan dalam Current State Value Stream Mapping yang selanjutnya dijabarkan aktivitas yang memiliki Value Added, Non Value Added, dan Necessary Non Value Added. Dari hasil pembobotan waste diketahui gate 1 hingga gate 6 ditemui waste yang dapat memperlambat proses maintenance, dimana gate 3 dan gate 5 merupakan gate yang banyak terjadi waste. Dari pemeringkatan waste yang ada di dalam process activity mapping diperoleh hasil berupa urutan critical waste dari tiap waste yang ada, dimana bobot tertinggi yaitu waste waiting dengan bobot sebesar 0.38. Kemudian dilakukan analisa terhadap penyebab adanya waste waiting tersebut dengan menggunakan metode Root Cause Analysis yaitu karena data yang tidak dimonitor dengan baik, kurangnya perhatian terhadap people development, dan masih adanya eror pada system. Dari penyebab-penyebab tersebut diberikan rekomendasi perbaikan dengan metode 5W1H dan hasil rekomendasi perbaikan tersebut digambarkan kembali dalam Future State Value Stream Mapping. Hasil implementasi parsial menunjukkan penurunan lead time dari yang sebelumnya 7.02 hari atau 7 hari menjadi 4.08 hari atau 4 hari dan cycle time dari yang sebelumnya 5074.20 menit menjadi 3331.96 menit.
