Abstract

PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk is a company engaged in manufacturing with tire products for various vehicles and uses. A company is synonymous with product testing that must produce judgments that are consistent with the quality of the product being tested. To get a value that is close to true then the requirements before testing must be met and in accordance with the standards used. The machine used for tire testing is the Drum Test machine. In the laboratory plant there is a DDT3 Drum Test machine which has decreased the effectiveness of the machine so that the test target is not achieved. Therefore it is necessary to research on the level of effectiveness of the engine, losses that occur as well as looking for the root causes of the problems that occur. The study was conducted on Drum Test 3 or DDT3 because it has a high level of downtime, so the level of effectiveness needs to be analyzed. The study begins by measuring the level of effectiveness of the machine by using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method which is then followed by the measurement of six big losses to determine losses (losses) that occur on the machine, then with a causal diagram can be analyzed the actual problems that are the main causes of losses happened to the Drum Test machine. Keywords: Drum Test Machine, TPM, OEE, Six Big Losses, Cause & Effect Diagram PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur dengan produk ban untuk berbagai kendaraan dan kegunaan. Sebuah perusahan identik dengan pengujian produk yang harus menghasilkan judgment yang sesuai dengan kualitas produk yang di uji. Untuk mendapatkan nilai yang mendekati sebenarnya maka syarat-syarat sebelum pengujian haruslah terpenuhi dan sesuai dengan standar yang digunakan. Mesin yang digunakan untuk pengujian ban adalah mesin Drum Test. Pada plant laboatorium terdapat mesin Drum Test DDT3 mengalami penurunan efektifitas mesin sehingga target pengujian tidak tercapai. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya penelitian mengenai tingkat efektivitas mesin, losses yang terjadi serta mencari akar penyebab permasalahan yang terjadi. Penelitian dilakukan pada mesin Drum Test 3 atauu DDT3 karena memiliki tingkat downtime yang tinggi, sehingga tingkat efektivitasnya perlu dianalisis. Penelitian dimulai dengan mengukur tingkat efektivitas mesin dengan mengguanakan Metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengukuran six big losses untuk mengetahui kerugian (losses) yang terjadi pada mesin, kemudian dengan diagram sebab akibat dapat dianalisis masalah sebenarnya yang menjadi penyebab utama losses yang terjadi pada mesin Drum Test.
