Abstract

This study aims to describe about perception on prisoners of general cases against prisoners of terrorism case with minimum contact. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological study method. The subjects of this study were three prisoners with drugs cases who employed as escort prisoners in prison to serve prisoners of terrorism. Data obtained through interviews with subjects, observations and document relating to this study needs in high risk prison. . The results of this study indicate that prisoners who had contact with terrorism prisoners able to identify the differences between their in group (prisoner with general cases) and out group (prisoners with terrorism case). The distinctive characteristic of each subject causing variety of diverse perceptions on prisoners of terrorism. The dynamics of perception that are raised by each subject will be discussed further in this study. Key words: perception, terrorism, in group-out group, prisoner Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran persepsi narapidana umum terhadap tahanan kasus terorisme dengan kontak yang minim. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah tiga orang narapidana umum dengan kasus narkoba yang dipekerjakan sebagai tahanan pendamping (tamping) untuk melayani tahanan teroris. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan subjek, observasi serta arsiparsip yang berhubungan dengan keperluan penelitian yang dilakukan di dalam rutan resiko tinggi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tamping yang melakukan kontak dengan tahanan teroris dapat mengidentifikasikan perbedaan antara kelompok dalam (narapidana kasus umum) dan kelompok luar (tahanan teroris). karakteristik yang khas dari tiap-tiap subjek memunculkan persepsi yang beragam terhadap tahanan teroris. Dinamika persepsi yang muncul dari tiap subjek akan dibahas lebih lanjut dalam penelitian ini. Kata kunci : persepsi, terorisme, kelompok dalam-kelompok luar, tahanan.
