Abstract

College students are required to complete their education by submitting a final project or thesis after taking various courses as their field of specialization. In the process of preparing a final project or thesis, it brings a lot of burden and pressure for college students, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic that can causes of academic burnout. To prevent academic burnout in college students, academic selfefficacy is needed. This research aims to find the effect of academic self-efficacy on academic burnout for final year college students who are studying online at Jabodetabek area during Covid-19 pandemic. A quantitative method with nonexperimental correlational analysis techniques are used in. Data was conducted by a questionnaire distributed on google form. Accidental sampling is used to sampling technique and obtained by 271 respondents. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression analysis. Based on analysis data, it can be concluded that there is a negative influence of academic self-efficacy on academic burnout in final year college students during the pandemic with a significant negative correlation of 40.1% on academic burnout and 59.9% influenced by factors that are not scrutinized by researchers.
