Abstract
ABSTRAK Pembangunan di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan yang sangat signifikan dikarenakan program pemerintah yang sedanng gencar meningkatkan sarana dan prasarana di wilayah Indonesia. Pmebanguan yang pesat juga berarti meningkatnya jumlah permintaan beton. Beton merupakan bahan komposit yang proses pembuatannya memiliki resiko merusak lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mencari bahan alternative pengganti agregat dan semen agar lebih ramah lingkungan. Abu daun bambu memiliki kandungan silika yang tinggi, yang nantinya dapat bereaksi dengan kapur yang ada pada semen sehingga akan menjadi lebih kuat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan sample silinder ukuran 10 x 20 cm sebanyak 36 benda uji dengan variasi 30% Styrofoam dan 7% abu, 30% dan 10% Styrofoam, serta 30% Styrofoam dan 15% abu daun bambu. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa terjadi penurunan hingga 72%. Kata Kunci : Styrofoam, abu daun bambu, beton ringan, mix design. ABSTRAC Development in Indonesia has experienced a very significant increase due to government programs that are intensively improving facilities and infrastructure in the territory of Indonesia. Rapid construction also means increasing demand for concrete. Concrete is a composite material whose manufacturing process has a risk of damaging the environment. This research was conducted to find alternative materials to replace aggregates and cement to be more environmentally friendly. Bamboo leaf ash has a high silica content, which can later react with the lime present in the cement so that it will become stronger. This research was conducted with a cylindrical sample measuring 10 x 20 cm as many as 36 specimens with variations of 30% Styrofoam and 7% ash, 30% and 10% Styrofoam, and 30% Styrofoam and 15% bamboo leaf ash. This study concluded that there was a decrease of up to 72%. Keywords: Styrofoam, bamboo leaf ash, lightweight concrete, mix design.
