Abstract
The rapid development of the construction world has an impact on the need for the use of concrete. The increasing use of concrete demands an increasing need for cement. To reduce the level of cement in concrete, an alternative innovation is needed in the use of the basic material. These innovations include the use of fly ash B3 waste and GGBFS as cement substitution materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the mixture of fly ash and GGBFS on the compressive strength and setting time of concrete with a planned compressive strength of f'c=25 Mpa, and the GGBFS used had an activity index of grade 100. From the results of research that has been carried out, the use of fly ash and GGBFS decreases the results of slump values when compared to concrete without fly ash and GGBFS, and the binding time of fly ash mixture concrete and GGBFS tends to have a slightly longer binding time. In the 7-day compressive strength test, the highest compressive strength was in a mixture of TMI (100% Cement, 0% Fly ash, and 0% GGBFS) of 23.39 Mpa. The highest compressive strength at the age of 28 days is found in the variation of TMIII (Cement 70%, Fly ash 5% & GGBFS 25%) which is 30.10 Mpa with a difference increase of 6.67% from TMI (Cement 100%, Fly ash 0% & GGBFS 0%) While the lowest concrete compressive strength is in the mixture of TMV (Cement 70%, Fly ash 15% & 15% GGBFS 0%) of 25.76 Mpa with a decrease of -8.68% from TMI. Keywords: Concrete, Fly Ash, GGBFS, Setting Time, Compressive Strength Pesatnya perkembangan dunia konstruksi berdampak terhadap kebutuhan penggunaan beton. Penggunaan beton yang semakin meningkat menuntut kebutuhan semen yang semakin besar pula. Untuk mengurangi kadar semen dalam beton maka dibutuhkan suatu inovasi alternatif dalam penggunaan material dasarnya. Inovasi tersebut diantaranya ialah penggunaan limbah B3 fly ash dan GGBFS sebagai bahan substitusi semen. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi campuran fly ash dan GGBFS terhadap kuat tekan dan setting time beton dengan kuat tekan yang direncanakan f’c=25 Mpa, dan GGBFS yang digunakan mempunyai indeks aktifitas grade 100. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan penggunaan fly ash dan GGBFS menurunkan hasil nilai slump jika dibandingkan dengan beton tanpa fly ash dan GGBFS, dan waktu ikat beton campuran fly ash dan GGBFS cenderung memiliki waktu ikat yang sedikit lebih lama. Pada uji kuat tekan umur 7 hari kuat tekan tertinggi yaitu pada campuran TMI (Semen 100%, Fly ash 0%, dan GGBFS 0%) sebesar 23,39 Mpa. Kuat tekan tertinggi pada umur 28 hari terdapat pada variasi TMIII (Semen 70%, Fly ash 5% & GGBFS 25%) yaitu sebesar 30,10 Mpa dengan kenaikan selisih sebesar 6,67% dari TMI (Semen 100%, Fly ash 0% & GGBFS 0%) Sedangkan kuat tekan beton terendah yaitu pada campuran TMV (Semen 70%, Fly ash 15% & GGBFS 15%) sebesar 25,76 Mpa dengan penurunan sebesar -8,68% dari TMI.
