Abstract
Conveyor is one of the structures to move a materials from one place to another in bulk which is often used in various types of industrial needs. One of coal mining company in East Kalimantan has material handling facilities a CV-204 conveyor with 1000 TPH (tons per hour) capacity in 2019. Due to the increasing demand for coal production targets, the conveyor needs to be upgraded to 2000 TPH. aims to determine the condition of the conveyor structure, especially in the gallery frame and leg poles when the capacity is increased to 2000 TPH. Design analysis used the SAP.2000 Version14 software. The results showed that changes in load values did not occur in Walkway loads, Dust suppression loads, and wind loads. Carry idler load & Idler return increased 37.83% from the Helix 2000 TPH calculation. Belt load increased 7.74% from the 2000 TPH helix calculation. Cable load increased by 50% due to the addition of electrical cable components. After run analysis with SAP2000, it was found that the largest deflection occurred at joint 149 with a deflection value = -17.41 mm and met the allowable deflection. The stems that experienced failure risk in the 2000 TPH design were 15 rods consisting of 10 rods with a stress ratio value of 1.001-1.082 (red color) and 5 rods with a stress ratio value of 0.969-0.994 (orange color), but these rods still safe from buckling check. Reinforcement was carried out on 15 L70x70x7 Elbow rods by adding the same profile as the existing profile, namely L70x70x7 which was welded to form a 70x77x7 hollow cross section. The stress ratio value of the bars that are at risk of failure in conditions before and after reinforcement has decreased about 35.98% to 42.35% with an average value is 39.58 and the bars are safe from buckling checks. . Conveyor adalah salah satu struktur untuk membantu perpindahan material dari satu tempat ke tempat yang lain secara massal yang sering digunakan dalam berbagai jenis kebutuhan industri. Di sebuah Perusahaan tambang batu bara di Kaltim memiliki fasilitas material handling berupa conveyor CV-204 dengan kapasitas 1000 TPH (ton per hour) pada tahun 2019. Karena adanya peningkatan kebutuhan target produksi batubara, conveyor tersebut perlu dilakukan upgrade kapasitas menjadi 2000 TPH .Penlitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi struktur conveyor tersebut khususnya pada bagian rangka gallery dan tiang leg apabila kapasitas dinaikkan menjadi 2000 TPH. Analisa desain dilakukan dengan software SAP.2000 V.14. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Perubahan nilai beban tidak terjadi pada beban Walkway, beban Dust supression, dan beban angin. Beban Carry idler & return Idler meningkat 37,83% dari calculation Helix 2000 TPH. Beban Belt meningkat 7,74% dari calculation helix 2000 TPH. Beban Cable meningkat 50 % karena ada penambahan komponen cable electrical. Setelah dilakukan run analysis dengan SAP2000 didapatkan deflection terbesar terjadi pada titik joint 149 dengan nilai defleksi = -17,41 mm dan memenuhi defleksi ijin. Batang-batang yang mengalami resiko failure pada desain 2000 TPH berjumlah 15 batang yang terdiri dari 10 batang dengan nilai stress ratio 1,001- 1,082 (warna merah) dan 5 batang dengan nilai stress ratio 0,969-0,994 (warna oranye), namun batang-batang ini masih aman dari pengecekan tekuk (buckling). Perkuatan dilakukan pada 15 batang Siku L70x70x7 dengan menambahkan profil yang sama dengan profil eksistingnya yaitu L70x70x7 yang di las sehingga membentuk penampang hollow 70x77x7. Nilai stress ratio dari batang batang yang beresiko failure pada kondisi sebelum dan setelah dilakukan perkuatan mengalami penurunan sekitar 35,98 % sampai 42,35 % dengan nilai rata-rata penurunan sebesar 39,58 dan batangbatang tersebut aman dari pengecekan tekuk (buckling).
