Abstract

Prisoners in Correctional Institutions are of course faced with various kinds of problems that exist, both with themselves and other people around them. Their selfdisclosure to others can be an important thing to do which has an impact on their resilience during their detention period. Resilience must be possessed by prisoners so that they are able to survive and remain productive during their period of detention. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-disclosure and resilience. The sample in this study were 400 prisoners who are currently serving a prison term in prison. Based on the results of research conducted with the Spearman technique, it shows a correlation coefficient of 0.456 with p = 0.000 (p <0.05) which indicates a positive relationship between self-disclosure and resilience of prisoners in Grade II A Salemba Prison. Keywords: Prisoners, Self Disclosure, Resilience Warga binaan di Lembaga Permasyarakatan tentunya dihadapkan pada berbagai macam permasalahan yang ada, baik dengan dirinya maupun orang lain di sekitarnya. Keterbukaan diri (self disclosure) mereka terhadap orang lain dapat menjadi hal yang penting untuk dilakukan yang memberikan dampak terhadap ketahanan dirinya (resilience) selama menjalani masa tahanan. Resilience harus dimiliki oleh warga binaan agar mereka mampu bertahan dan tetap produktif dalam menjalani masa tahanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self disclosure dengan resilience. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 400 warga binaan yang sedang menjalani masa tahanan di Lapas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dengan teknik Spearman menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0, 456 dengan p= 0,000 (p<0,05) yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif antara self disclosure dan resilience pada warga binaan di Lapas Klas II A Salemba.
